August 26, 2008: Iran has announced that is has begun production of a new class of submarines that can fire both torpedoes and missiles. Iran has, as far as anyone can tell, no submarine building capability. Over the last few years, Iran has announced several new submarine construction projects. But no one can find any evidence that any of these subs exist. But all this is nothing new for the Iranians.

LOL, Someone said something almost the same as this right before Iran launched a self-made Satellite into orbit - American Sanctions having forced them to build a totally self-sufficient aerospace industry more efficient than the one in America.

Blowback.

Well whoever said that may have been talking out their backside as one would have thought a rocket launching facility would create quite a lot of spy satellite evidence?

Anyway their Aug 2008 test failed: www.alertnet.org...
It just didn't stop them claiming a "great" success!!!

Iran is very nationalistic. I guess sometimes it's just cheaper to make weapons up than to acturally build them.
One take their hat off, as if this policy were followed by other nations, just think of how much tax payers money we would save!

Unfortunately the threats Iran faces are not made up at all. This is partly why they are up to no good. But if anybody wants to take them out they just have the entire oil production of the Mid East to worry about, an Iranian biological attack on Israel's 6 million Jews, and of course the Jews most "un-Islamic" response.

Yeah threats they face are realer

Science fiction writers would become the new technicians, and everything ever posted on the weapons section would be "true".
