Here is story that should get your hackles up.
Which to you is the worse offence? A pastor addicted o porn or somebody writing a song and making money to treat a fake cancer?

How do you feel about the one person doing both?
This pastor who has now openly admitted to be addicted to porn who apparently spent the monies raised from the song on his porn addiction.

Pastor tells of porn addiction

DISGRACED pastor Michael Guglielmucci has finally told of fabricating a terminal cancer battle to hide his 16-year obsession with pornography.

"This is who I am ... I'm addicted to the stuff, it consumes my mind,'' he said of pornography in his first interview on Today Tonight since the story was first revealed on AdelaideNow last week.

"... I'm sick and this is why I had to come up some sort of explanation of what was happening in my body.''

The shame of his addiction manifested itself physically, resulting in him losing his hair and purging his body.

"I don't know how you can fake vomiting all over yourself night after night after night, I'm not that good an actor,'' he said.

To conceal the two-year cancer lie which he hid from his wife and family, he sent phoney emails to his loved ones from non-existent medical practitioners.

Both are disgusting, IMO.

However I do not fault him for having the addiction, so much as I do going to such lengths to hide it.

Some pastors have such an arrogant need to appear super-human. It wouldn't kill them to be open about their struggles but I suppose they think they would loose their flock if they admitted to being tempted by drugs, sex, gambling, whatever. In the end they lose them anyway.

I remember talking a to a lot of people around the time that TEd Haggard got in trouble, because I lived in the area at the time.

The general consensus was that it wasn't the things he did, but that he lied about doing them, and insisted that those things were forbidden to his congregation.

BTW--I think the "Porn Addiction Recovery Industry" is worthy of a conspiritorial look, too.

Just when you think you've heard it all, something like this comes along. Lying about cancer to hide the porn addiction?! Unbelievable. What next?

What I find difficult to understand is that he managed to convince close friends and his immesiate family for two years no less!!!
I have trouble keeping a birthday or christmas present secret from my wife....I am sure there would be eaier ways to conceal somthing like this...looks like he is nothing but a common scammer.
What is worse it does nothing to help the image of church everywhere.

He lied for the sole purpose of gaining monies to benefit an instance that has nothing to do with what the money was to be for.

So, when will the DA file fraud charges?

Agreed. He thought he should get paid because he thought he was special. All the people that gave money probably thought they should trust this special man to use the money to build churches, spread the word and ease suffering (is that a goal of the church anymore?). It reeks of fraud to me.

Too right!! Fraud is the only way to describe what has happened. I am wondering however, was it his intention from the start to intentionally deceive as many people as possible, or was is one of those things that grew arms and legs as it went along until he stopped and realized what was going on?

I have absolutely no sympathy for this man, but would like to know what the hell was going through his mind as this was progressing.
