If I took offence that easily, I would enter myself in the local steeple chase
either that or I would have stopped posting here a long time ago.

I fully understand your concern with the placement of this thread. To be honest I was tossing up between here and current events, but this won over. This may not be alternative news by way of these parents were under alien mind control or that it wasn’t a real baby but a rubber baby suit kept on ice, but it is still not you run of the mill, day to day news topic. Also, this thread has been about long enough for the MODS to make that descision. I have even given the MODS an opportunity to move it in my first reply to you and the fact that WyrdeOne commented on this instead of moving it tells me I was not too far out of line.

Even though you have made comment and are not officially moderating this thread please feel fee to move it if you see fit.

Hopefully this can be the last of it and we can continue discussing the topic at hand. With that, I would like to add that these people really need to be made an example of. Sure the media are hyping it up for their own means, but I say use it to let other offenders or potential offenders know it will not be tolerated. As I said earlier, put them in prison in general population and let their fate be made public. Hopefully that will be a deterrent for others.

No. It perpetuates a disgusting and sordid story about an unfortunate child. It spreads fear, uncertainty and doubt.

I don't blame you for being angry about this and not wanting to read it, but it is definitely a conspiracy. The world of child sex slavery is, in and of itself, a conspiracy. It is highly secretive, morally repugnant and increasingly, thanks to the internet among other things, it is also closely knit.

I'm not saying every pedophile in the world knows every other pedophile, but one reason that a single bust almost always leads to scores of arrests and convictions is that these people do keep in touch, they do communicate with each other.

One thing that happens when something is as terrible and as taboo as preying on children sexually is that, because such a stigma is already attached to it, any inhibitions people might have had just go right out the window. The level of depravity and debauchery to which pedophile networks sink is really astonishing, and in their desperation to avoid detection and punishment they have become both ferocious and ingenious.

It's a double edged sword because I'm like everybody else. I don't want to know any more about stories like this, not on a visceral level. But when you're interested in conspiracies what are you really looking for? Much of the time, you are looking for the urges that people feel the need to gratify that they cannot gratify by any conventional, above ground means. These are the urges that drive people underground, the urges that fuel the most desperate acts.

Look at how this story broke. An unnamed informant received a text message reading " "Nice piece 5 yrs old belongs to my gf and she wants to sell it." So what do we have here? We have what is obviously a mass text message sent to a ring of pedophiles. It's like a *&^@*ing classified ad for child porn. It is an underground network of people who have a perverse interest which they *need* to keep secret. One of them came forward and broke the story.

Is it disgusting? Yes. Is it bloodchilling? God yes. Is it mere sensationalism? If it were just one couple, acting in a vacuum, we could maybe write it off that way. But just from the details we are given, this obviously involves a large number of people doing something perverse, outrageous and disgusting with the need for utmost secrecy. It is something that is becoming far more prevalent and it's a peversion that includes people in all walks of life, at all social strata.

Finding groups, underground networks of monsters and bringing them to light. Surely that's part of what it means to have an interest in the Conspiracy, in what exists beneath the bedazzling facade of 21st century America.

You and kosmicjack both make very good points there is a fine line often crossed when reporting a story as opposed to sensationalizing it. Reporting severe penalties for crimes of this sort could be a great deterrent. Unfortunately unless the child is killed there are no severe penalties to report or sensationalize. Many feel if penalties are too harsh it could lead more pedophiles to commit murder to cover their crimes so on & so on blah blah.

These people are sociopaths who have stepped outside human bounds. They are going to do really bad things regardless of penalties and warnings. We need a special prison exclusive to this type of offender. I bet we could fill it, and let them live and feed off each other for life in general population. Let them get a real good taste of their own filth via one of their own. No discrimination, no special protection due to the shared nature of their crimes they would all be equal amongst their peers. It’s the best I can come up with they could be treated the same as inmates at any other facility at no extra cost to the public. There would be no outcry from lawyers for special protection from the general population. What could they argue? Either that or kill them outright.

Great post by Leo Leob btw.

For the record, I am sorry I used the phrase whiney butts. Also for the record, this is off the back cover of the book "The Franklin Cover-Up". "The shut-down of Omaha, Nebrasks's Franklin Community Federal Credit Union, raided by federal agencies in Novermber 2988, sent shock waves all the way to Washington, D.C. $40 million was missing........" It goes on and then "What looked like a financial swindle, soon exploded into a hideous tale of drugs, Iran-Contra money-laundering, a nationwide child abuse ring, and ritual murder...........19 months later, the legislative committee's chief investigator died--suddenly and violently, like more than a dozen other people linked to the Franklin case..........Using documentation never before made public, deCamp lays bare not only the crimes, but the cover-up--a textbook case of how dangerous the corruption of institutions of government, and the press, can be........." So remember who was involved in the Iran-Contra and the S$L swindles in the 80's, Niel Bush, Ollie North and Mr. I didn't know anything about it, sitting president G.H.Bush, ex-head of CIA, and he didn't know. Right. He's named in this book as being at the sex parties and leaving with a black boy named Brent about 19 years of age. And I remember reading somewhere, may not be true, that Neil Bush was head of security at the World Trade Center building complex. Gee, these same names keep cropping up. Google Gannet-Guckert-Gosch. That's an intereasting story.

I read about this today and was horrified. As a parent I can't imagine what makes people do this kind of thing. They need to hang these scumbag "parents" by piano wire. I hope those kids get some real help, and go to a family that will cherish them.

The tragedy here is, to my mind, that this story is as old as mankind. Little children have been sexually abused, 'gone missing', kipnapped, raped and murdered throughout the history of our race. It is clearly in the nature of our species.

And there is nothing freshly abhorrent to the tale of depraved parents monetizing their children's sexually or, more commonly, exploiting their children's sexually for their own purposes/pleasure.

Does that make it right? No. Does that make it conscionable to the majority of the populace? Seemingly not. Nevertheless anytime a little blonde girl goes missing the MSM is rewarded by ratings and issues sold for endlessly positing the fate of the missing girl, the inferrence being her RAPE. Which in itself, IMO, is a form of pedophilia on the part of all of those who breathlessly relate the tale, buy the magazines, watch the shows etc.

might be a bit off topic But I was surfing the web a few nights ago when a thumbnail link sent me fromm a nice 18+ girls site to a site that ahd this type of filth on it. Girls 5 to 12 it said, and it was BAD. I copy and pasted to the FBI, and they replied that it was a site of an undisclosed police unit tring to catch pervs that like this sort of thing. I don't know what's worse, the pervs, or the police putting it up there to get them exited.

in particular

child abuse in my mind is far more prevellent (sp?) than believed, most of my patients as children (when i was working) had sustained long term abuse from family members.
i believe that it is for the most part a taboo subject, too scary to look at, so its swept under the carpet.
although child abuse is not breaking news as such, each childs story is, and i think the more people open their eyes to whats going on under their noses the better it is for children...and therefore better for society as a whole in the long term.

Wake up and smell the stink!!! This happens every single day, and all over the world. It is devistating.

If the media were to report all of the cases of child abuse, there would be no room for any other story on any of the news channels for a very long time.
