My question is where did the funding go for the basic technological advances in the economy. The money required to run some of these secret agencies and plants must be a great portion of the annual tax return. Why isn't the gov't spending it on worthwhile research such as that of nuclear fusion or stem cells? Your thoughts are appreciated.
