I've been seeing this object casting a long shadow for some time, (in the left of the picture).

Does anyone have any ideas as to what it might be?? The ESA website gives no explanation as to what it is...

  1. What's the source of the image?
  2. What exactly are we looking at in the image?
  3. What do you think the anamoly is?

i think this would be the source of the image but im not sure what the OP is referring to all i see is lens glare

Sorry - I just had to work...

Yes. The dot like object you've framed in the left box is the one I was wondering about. I downloaded the image the ESA webcam. I've been seeing that same anomally for about a week now as i slowly moves across the surface of the planet.

I'm not sure what it could be, but whatever it is it must be huge to cast such an elongated shadow!
