Wow. That video really shows Fox's true colors. Especially the anchor's commentary at the end. Describing the crowd as "raucous" and "out of control"...um, really? *That* was out of control? She was so dramatic about it. "We'll make sure [our news guy] is OK".

I haven't watched Fox news for a while now...probably a year or so. Doing so obviously gave me the distance and perspective I needed!

Thanks for posting the video.

As I stated before, this is old tactics and its being used by both sides. If you believe this is not going to be far worse at the RNC you are sadly mistaken. The same groups that protest the WT conventions will be out in force. The Anarchists and the Moaists/Socialists and the paid lackeys/provocateurs of all denominations will be there in force. Of course, ALL of the media will be right there with front row seats to document every detail. Our process is broken and theres not much we can do to fix it.

No, I very much expect it to be just as bad, if not worse at the RNC. I'm not stating it is just one side or the other. Certain factions within will try to maim the other.

I'm not saying it is the 'republicans' or the 'democrats' doing this to one another. I'm simply trying to make the same point you are. It will be factions from within and even ones from other locale on this fine planet that will do what they can to cause chaos. Out of chaos comes control and that is what 'government' in general wants. Control of the masses.

Protesting anything in this country is an invitation to being rounded up like a stray dog and put in what amounts to a human dog-pouind, as has been prepared for you by our wonderful government and the people we pay to protect us.

Do not be mistakened, you are more liklely to be abused, robbed, shot and killed by our own police than any wanton criminal. Consequently, if you find yourself in trouble, do not call the police; if you don't buy the scum they are offerring us as President, don't protest, it will do no good; the people who onw you and this country have already decided what and who is going to run this country.

For my part, I find most of you, on all sides, to be unwanted refuse and the sooner you all go to destroying each other, the sooner us real Americans can begin to rebuild our country.

What a mess these things are. We have people peacefully trying to get their message out mixed with violent disrupter's ( I can no longer call them protesters). We have good Cops trying to deal with bad situations mixed with Bad Cops who make matters worse. To that stir in a few less than honest people who only want to be arrested to be cool or get on TV. What a foul tasting stew.

Although, I do recall that you may have pointed out what you originally saw was actually an anarchists group.

Those in masks self-identified as "Anarchists" and "Maoists". This 68 group is a mixture of many I think.

Completely, but I've seen no evidence presented other than the mention of Limbaugh's group. I think that was just some stuff he said on the air and no real group exists unless they got together on their own based on what he said.

I would not dispute that either Party is capable of such a thing.

Could I ask how many people out of the entire protest were yelling and screaming? I'll explain why I ask after you answer.
Thanks in advance and by the way, very interesting post.

Take a look at this post if you're interested in the media picking the next president for us

I have no idea. All there is are the videos to go by. They mentioned a thousand being present in the group but who knows how many were included with the Anarchists / Maoists with the masks. It appears the whole crowd was yelling and it was obvious that the reporter was being shoved around.

at least these people are doing SOMETHING,

I just said this on another thread.

If they are peacefully protesting I'd lay down my life for them.

If they are violent, they should go back home and slap their parents for raising them to be such jerks and not come back out until they grow up.

I'm really not trying to judge their reasons for protest, just behavior. I don't care how people view Fox News, I just don't think that any person should shove anyone else for any reason and that yelling the F word is the act of a child not an adult.

Its hard to know much from a bunch of tiny clips carefully edited together to make whatever point the producer wanted.

Once they started marching they were attempting to get arrested on purpose. That is absolutely clear. I'm betting many don't even know anything about the Candidates and are just there for the chaos and to get arrested so they look cool.

People who did not want Obama had there chance to vote in the Primaries. If they did vote and they are just sore losers - I weep for them

Blaine,
Heres a link on the Anarchist group and they're intended purposes at the RNC. This is the same group that did 2 mil in damages in Seattle. When they arrested a bunch of them there, they found 2 out of three where trust fund babies who seemed to have no idea of a future other than to cause the most havoc they could. Got al the money they need to live, but will do what ever they can to take it from others because the USA is the baddie!!! Morons!!!

Iknow about your robocops. They first appeared in the British media at WTO Seattle. The polltax riot actually contributed to Margaret Thatchers downfall ,eventualy,as it represented the British publics depth of feeling against the tax.We have a good, long tradition of protests and riots here as we've had alot of practice. There's even a series on tv called 'I predict a riot'which shows the riot in question, thepoints of view of rioters and police and shows statistics at the end of casualties on both sides, amount of damage etc. It's sad when people get hurt and police are people too.But sometimes they bring it on themselves eg;my husband was arrested for stopping a policeman from beating the crap out of an old woman at a demo.Luckily he got one of the top lawyers in the land, who was offering his services pro bono to the demonstrators so he was ok.I have to say the cops have got more arsey here too.I think the best recent ,and strange example was the Countryside Alliance demo in London where the cops beat the crap out of farmers and posh people who were outraged as they no idea the police could behave like that.Bad but at least they got a taste of what it's been like to be working class in Britain for the last two hundred years.I think the strangest riot of late in the UK was the IKEA riot of a few years back.People were ,crushed on person was stabbed and there were countless punch up's all to get a sofa for £40(footage on you tube).

I find your point so unbelievable that I can only come to the following conclusions;you are very young and niave and therefore are talking from a lack of experience.Your working for the authorities in some form, you have been completely brainwashed by the capitalist sytem. The protesters were hardly hardcore anarchists and as usual the police were completely over the top.You want to live in a country like that. You must be mad. When the sh*it hits the fan and your rights are being taken away there is only one place to take the battle and that's the streets wher you send the authories a clear message 'we are the people,so don't f888 with us' end of

Thanks ZindoDoone. I have no doubt the best is yet to come so to speak. On a year where there are protests at the Democratic Convention, the Republican Convention could get very interesting.

There are plenty of mad people out here. Each mad in their own way. The discontent is becoming palpable and it is a bit deja-vuish if there is such a word. Even though this war is nothing like Vietnam the reaction sure is similar.
