Grafton, Wis.-A Wisconsin woman has been arrested and
booked for failing to pay her library fines.
Still, she was surprised when officers with a warrant knocked
on her door, cuffed her and took her to the police station to be
fingerprinted and photographed.
It COSTS more money for the person to be kept in prison.
Of course another government system that doesn't work and defeats the whole purpose and is just a pointless show of power practicing for the future enslavement of all not with the program
Could you imagine the library themselves making a mistake and losing the books and this person having to go to prison even though they returned them?

Anyway, I remember thinking at the time, what's next? Laws that you must
mow your lawn?
This is called a serious lack of responsibility and a bad allocation of police responsibilities.
in that case they should be shut down and the jurisdiction given to the state or county body
bad waste of tax payer dollars.

SHE FAILED TO APPEAR IN COURT. That is why she was arrested.
Well, back in 92 my wife and i had a house fire and it killed her little girl and we lost every thing we owned. Some library books i checked out burned up as well. I told the library about this and then ignored them. Well later down the road the police came looking for me, to arrest me for the fines.
