There are only two sides to a revolution. Looks like it will be Americans vs. socialist tree hugging Liberals who want to raise taxes and abolish the 2nd Amendment.

What are you willing to do to keep rights and freedom for you and your family?

These rights they are taking they are sworn to protect and uphold.

These rights they are taking are not issued by the government. You were born with them.

People outside the US went like sheep. Its their own fault that nothing was gained and everything lost. Now they do what they are told when they are told and it only goes downhill from there.

Who are you to tell us how to run our country?

The US Constitution says that "The right of the PEOPLE to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed upon". How Euroland, Canada, Australia, etc does things has no bearing on us.

That's just it, we live in OUR (all the people) world. I visit your country a lot, but a lot of you still think in "we" and "them", that is no different then any other place.
Also without a NWO, we will grow into a global functioning world. Old laws won't help here, but maybe when you live in the 18th century they do, I don't know.

You can defeat a NWO without guns. You can learn to live with ET's without guns. Just grow up and evolve.

If you want weapons to protect you, you need rayguns and invisibilty-loaks and anti-gravity.

1. ET's? Really? .. God I hope your kidding..

Anyways, you may live in a no-national-boundary World. I live in America. And pray to God the likes of you never has to meet me face to face to tell me I am "just a people of Earth".....

That sounds on face value as a good idea untill you actualy take a look whats been happening to our veterans comming back from combat. If you have had any noted problem in your Medical record or notation about something that the Doc you talked to entered in your file about your mental state, even if its just minor depresion because you told him you'd rather be home than where you are, those records have been turned over to NCIS. You are now ineligible to purchase a firearm. I'm not joking. I saw this happen in my local gun store not 3 weeks ago.
Most peoples medical records are incomplete in that one med pro might have a copy and another has added to his own copy because you have had to visit two differant Dr.s. If a Dr. has prescribed someting for you, even if its 20 yrs ago and that substance becomes part of the list to use against you, believe me, the government is not going to say ,'well that was 20 yrs ago'. They are going to put you on that ineligible list sure as your born.

Joe Biden + Obama is not a good sign for the Americans that seek to preserve their unalienable right to keep and bear arms. The right to keep and bear arms is the most important right that we have, without it all the others are useless as they cant be defended.

BTW: I hope they dont plan on ending the CMP ... thats an American tradition!

[edit on 23-8-2008 by ChrisF231]

The Right To Bear Arms our most important right? Because we can't defend othe rights without it? What a joke, lets take on the government with Assault Rifles and Handguns! That's plenty of firepower not. Regardless of what firearms we have if they want to take something away they will, regardless of how tough we think we are with our cap guns. So instead of worrying about stacking up your arsenal lets get other stuff worked out first. Shouldn't we be worried more about the current recession/depression we are in.

Oops, what was I thinking? Elect McCain, America is up for war with Iran.

Heres a scenario that might show that what you say about fighting the government is not quite correct. Should a person come along with actual proven intensions to 'bring back the power of the common man' and a small civil war breaks out in a certain part of our country. This Person has had much of what he believes vetted in the press and has shown to be honorable. The Government decides to send troops to quell this small civil outbreak with regular army trops. The troops know that this Person is on the right track and so are the followers trying to regain constitutional redress. Do you believe that some, maybe many of the troops sent would not have empathy and maybe decide to join in the fight? Do you as a soldier not think that you should fight for the Oath you took to protect the US and its constitution and not the power brokers in DC? I believe there would be a very great devide in the conscience of the average soldier. His true calling would come to the forefront and the government would loose its right to crush the rebellion. Just a thought. Its happened before. I'm sure it will again, regardless that most people think that they're neighbors are sheep and would fold they're hands. I, for one, think that a differant outcome would prevail!!

Its time to clearly identify each and every politician that vote to subvert the constitution and publicize them for all to see. I know what my birthrights are.

Learn how to read the documents here.

Now go out and get a copy of the Federalist papers which explain every intent of the documents.

I ask, sir, what is the militia? It is the whole people, except for a few public officials."
— George Mason

"Who are the militia? Are they not ourselves? Is it feared, then, that we shall turn our arms each man against his own bosom? Congress shall have no power to disarm the militia. Their swords, and every other terrible implement of the soldier, are the birth-right of an American ... The unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state governments, but where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the People."
— Tench Coxe

Did everyone see the intent?

Or you can bury your head in the sand and whimper and whine when they tell you the internet is for information only and your private opinions are now illegal.

Many Americans are already done with the erosion of freedoms and are looking to gain back what has already been taken away. Not just stopping a new ban, but repealing all of the previous erosion. This starts by branding the politicians involved and holding them accountable before, during and after elections.

I have to ask you one question??? You as a soldier. Would you drop the biologicals on your own countrymen and women???

What is underestimated about the military is that they are taught to obey orders. I'm sure some would freeze and not fire but majority would. Especially if the military is able to convince them that they are doing the right thing. They do it in wars all the time. The military is very good at defining its enemy even if they are Americans.

I personally do not see this as an end to the Second but it is surely something worth watching. If it is to happen I agree that it will be a small piece by small piece erosion.

I do not plan to surrender my firearms. I will not have the attitude that, if the opposition to my freedom has more firepower than I, then I am to just lie down and give up. Standing against the odds, although many times unsuccessful, has succeeded at other times. Freedom is worth the try.

On the list, it may not be the First Amendment, but it is the Second. I take that as a clear signal.

In other words, I will take being run over by an M1A tank before I give the government my guns.

I would prefer to earn back my freedom by fighting for it from within the government...

But If you prefer that America enter a civil war as opposed to fixing the problem through pro-active thinking; be my guest...

Every single one of you have no right to complain, unless you're willing to march onto capitol hill (unarmed) and say something about it. Or you could really "man up" and run for political office.

Much better to fix the machine from the inside than to let the machine run over you in an act of patriotic martyrdom.

Violence begets violence. Discourse, and political action are what are needed if you are so worried.

Also, I support an assault rifle ban. There is no need to fire a bullet in three shot or constant fire bursts. If you can empty your clip in a second by holding down the trigger, you are NOT using your gun for hunting purposes... Self defense doesn't mean cut the offender in half with your gun.

ponder that instead of getting all uppity thinking that you should die for your guns...

P.s. I own three different guns... And I know I have nothing to worry about as all three are for hunting purposes(Except for the museum quality ruger, but it isn't even functional

You really think you can run for office and get the endorsement
of one of the two ruling parties ?

Without paying your dues ?

Without the puppet strings sewn into your empty suit ?

As for you supporting the Assault Weapons ban, you think
they mean Full Auto weapons ?

Those were banned long ago under other legislation.

I suggest you read the Assault Weapons ban and realize it
means semi-automatic rifles some choices were as arbitrary
as the "look" of the gun in being chosen for the ban.

This place touts Deny Ignorance, but alot of the posters
have more than enough ignorance to share with all.

Stupidity is the inability to learn, ignorance just means you
do now know yet, but can learn.

I suggest you read the Assault Weapons ban before you support it.

I am ignorant of many things, the Assault Weapons ban is not one.

The most recent idiot that wants it re-instated did not even
understand some of the terminology herself.

Remember a folding stock or pistol grip shotgun should be banned
per these enlightened thinkers.

The stock or grip has NOTHING to do with its lethality.

If it is about conceal ability then all pistols should be banned.

Its retarded !

Your guns are false repesentations/icons of freedom. They are an illusion of freedom used to trick you. You think you'll need them to protect you from your future potential oppressors, but your oppressors are here NOW right in front of your eyes oppressing you through economics. And you ain't seen nothing yet.

They want you to use that gun in your closet/safe as a litmus test for freedom. As long as you do that, they've got you playing their game and you are under their control. They can strip away habeus corpus, posi comitatus, redefine torture, wiretap all Americans without warrants, extraordinary rendition, start illegal wars, build the NAU infrastructure, put truent students in GPS ankle braclets and prison jumpsuits, etc., etc.

Good cop, bad cop. Good politician, bad politician.

That gun in you closet does you no good unless you use it. But if you use it, it does you no good.

Kudos to you Harrytuttle,
Finally a person is talking words make sense. The rest of you guys are talking crap. Your inflated super ego have been watching to many videos.

You have wasted your money buying dozens of guns and in the end you WILL loose. Ask yourselves....who has the law to back up their actions? Who can make new laws to give them the right to do as they want? Do they know where you work...yes. They come to your work place and arrest you for
being a suspect terrorist having records that show illegal weapons.
So now what ya gonna do hotshot....your in jail while your house is being raided with a warrant. Now your a terrorist you have a record and they have all your guns and ammo as proof.......Bye Bye
Oh ya, Now your wife and kids are on welfare and your house is in foreclosure.
If you think this is bull...remember the teacher in the news for the AR-15 that misfired in fully automatic. Did you see them on the news go to his house and take ALL his gun collection. Now with a record he can't own or buy ANY gun.

Now all you backyard warriors have another beer. Your letter "asking" you do deliver your guns to the collection building by the Federal Government is in the mail.

Yours truly,

I must say I agree with you. Sarcastic tone, but a very well made point. The government has the power to do whatever it so desires with a person and his or her personal belonging. One can scream all day about not doing this or doing that but in the end you have no choice because your neighbors will be sitting their watching rather than helping. The same neighbors who said they had your back.

The government will get you when you are defenseless. Guess they have learned a lot since Waco.

In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about
20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and

In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million
Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total of
13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million
political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and

Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000
Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million
educated' people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and

Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: 56 million.

(From the late 1990s)
It has now been 12 months since gun owners in Australia were forced by new
law to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed by their own
government, a program costing Australia taxpayers more than $500 million
dollars. The first year results are now in:

List of 7 items: Australia-wide, homicides are up 3.2 percent
Australia-wide, assaults are up 8.6 percent Australia-wide, armed robberies
are up 44 percent (yes, 44 percent)!

In the state of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are now up 300
percent. Note that while the law-abiding citizens turned them in, the
criminals did not, and criminals still possess their guns!

While figures over the previous 25 years showed a steady decrease in armed
robbery with firearms, this has changed drastically upward in the past 12
months, since criminals now are guaranteed that their prey is unarmed.

There has also been a dramatic increase in break-ins and assaults of the
ELDERLY. Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety
has decreased, after such monumental effort and expense was expended in
successfully ridding Australian society of guns. The Australian experience
and the other historical l f acts above prove it.

You won't see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians
disseminating this information.

Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes,
gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens.

The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind them of
this history lesson.

Here again we hear of the fear tactics of the big bad govt that can't even police Iraq with 150,000 soldiers and all the high tech gear and laser bombs they can get their hands on, not to mention the bumble mess going on in Afghanistan.

Right, right, fear tactics by govt agents? You decide. The battle is in your minds. Will you give up all to be a drone? They play with your fear impulse. Ignore it and stand up for your rights.

In South Africa the government has to a large degree made it illegal to own more than one handgun.
The only people who really have guns here now are the thieves and murderers - who are in many cases supplied by dishonest policemen as a result of the gun amnesty we have from time to time which allows people to hand in their weapons as they can no longer get ammunition for them.

Guys, losing the right to bear arms is a serious threat to your and your family's safety!

We have such a high crime rate simply because we as a nation are now unable to fight for our protection - the police as useless as they many times arrive hours after the crime has been perpetrated.
We had such a laugh the other day:
6 police vans pull up at a house opposite from where we were working, ten guys and a police dog run into the garden looking for whoever broke into the house. Finding nothing, they leave.

We have tourists living in the house next to the searched site - two elderly people who were terrified out of their wits!
My dad and I went and checked their garden - the boundary wall is shared with the "searched" garden.
We chased the perp over the wall!

Dont let them steal your weapons!
If this guy had come at us with a knife, I could have been stabbed as has happened to more than a few of my friends that still stand up for truth, honour and justice.

posted on Aug, 25 2008 @ 01:40 PM
My only concern in getting rid of guns is all the stabbings. Frankly, I'd rather get shot, then the guy can't whisper weird stuff in my ear while I die.
