Pretty self-explanatory

CNN
MSNBC

Good experienced choice imo.
Hard to find too many faults in Biden.
Pretty big power player.

Just announced, details and analysis to follow.

WASHINGTON (AP) _ Barack Obama told everyone he wanted a running mate who will challenge his thinking, and now he's got one. Joe Biden's tendency to speak his own mind — and speak and speak — is entwined in his DNA.

I agree, he's a bulldog.
Perfect wingman.
He'll take all the punches for Obama and dish it out himself.

Ya Biden is like a pitbull... Even though he is 65, he still seems like he can throw a nasty right hook!!! In fact I think he is one of the toughest SOB I have ever seen in politics. Good choice... I hope he turns really red and then punches Mccain in his bulbous cheek!

It's not too surprising considering all factors. It was probably the best choice Obama could have made. All that's left now is to see McCain's VP pick.

That is one freaky coincidence. Let's just hope it's only a coincidence and has no significance, since we all know how the people in power like to play with symbols and subliminals.

I agree. McCain however will have a tough time imo to find a vp candidate that completes the GOP ticket as well as Biden does for the dems.

Yes there were a few wrong predictions on ATS.

Does make one feel better about our chances of making it past 2012.

Yes though as czerased pointed out, we'll have to deal with OBAMA-Biden [- sound a lot like osama bin laden!!!!-] nincompoops, but hey whatchagonna do?
If that's the best they can bring, "Obiden" will be fine.

I believe that this is going to be picked on:
In picking Sen. Joe Biden to be his running mate, Barack Obama sought to shore up his weakness — inexperience in office and on foreign policy — rather than underscore his strength as a new-generation candidate defying political conventions.
He picked a 35-year veteran of the Senate — the ultimate insider — rather than a candidate from outside Washington . . .
