Strange experience when I was younger...

I've never really related this experience before. I'm a new member, and I don't post often. However, I would like your opinions on something that happened when I was 13 or so.

My grandmother and grandfather died about 4 months apart. My grandmother died of a stroke, and my grandfather was killed in a farming accident. Very stressful times ensued.

One day, I was in their vacant house, which we still owned. I was looking around, reminiscing, when I suddenly could hear loud voices, as if in an arguement. It scared the devil out of me, and I ran home.

I thought I had imagined it, until I saw my mother running out of the house some weeks later. I asked her what had happened, and she was visibly shaken. She explained she had heard the same type of voices I had heard during my experience.

We sold the house a few years later, but I never heard anything else. What could it have been?

Yes, they did. My grandmother had been sick for a very long time, suffering from "mini-strokes". She was very difficult to live with. They loved each other, but they were often loud when speaking to each other (my grandfather, in his defense, was very hard of hearing from working in a textile factory for many years as a foreman).

Well there is the theory that 'ghosts' are nothing more then residual energy. This is the idea that there is a type of shadow remnant left over from repetitive activities that the person did at a specific location when alive. A type of energy build-up over time.

I've often thought that's what it was, but how could such a thing happen? Why would it only manifest AFTER the people who left that energy were dead and gone?

My grandfather's death was fairly violent, as he died in a tractor accident. My grandmother died in the house.

my personal theory on ghosts is that during our time here on earth, that if we form major attachments to certain places, people, or earthly desires, our spirit will remail earthbound. so most likeley during thier lifetime they have formed some sort of sentimental attachment to thier home and/or each other. hope this helps ya make sense of things.

My theory is the human body acts as a generator of psychic energy, the body for some reason produces this energy like a living battery, all living things produce this energy cause we maybe the only scource for it. I believe this is used for animating the enviroment for which we live, life causes life, like a chain reaction.

When in emotional states you give of more of this energy.The enviroment around you absorbs this energy like sponge, heck even certain ghosts feed of the energy the human body produces (ie certian people are haunted not places) . Again we're like batteries of phychic engergy.

Probably the reason why those voices manifest itself is because you caused it. By reminiscing your emotions triggered a sort of play back of the past, for the house still holds a record of sorts of your grandparents emotional times.
