Teeth unravel Anglo-Saxon legacy

New Scientific reseach adds to growing evidence that the Anglo-Saxons did not replace the native population in England as history books suggests.

The data indicates at least some areas of eastern England absorbed very few Anglo-Saxon invaders, contrary to the views in many historical accounts.

Chemical anaylsis of human teeth from a Medieval cemetery in Yorkshire found few individuals of continental origins.

If i remember right from my history classes, the Anglo-Saxon invasion was around the 1065 mark??
Could be wrong??

But what a find...they even have Genetic support for this....damn...love this type of find

Well I know at least in Ireland it happend, because my name came from France because of it, POE From the french turned to Powers in Ireland. All at the time of the Saxon Invasions

I thought the Norman invasion was in 1066.

The Saxons earlier than that.
