The quake hit at 1:26 p.m. (0826 GMT) just outside Tashkent, a city of two million, and registered 6.0 on a 12-level scale measuring earthquake intensity. No Richter scale figures were available.

Looks like mother nature is on the move again, I hope this quake has not taken any lives.

The quakes around the world are becoming more frequent or is it just me?

Duffster, check out the thread 'alternative methods in earthquake prediction' you will be suprised at the increased frequency of not only quakes, but volcanos that have been sleeping for 9000+ years are waking up. This old word is acting like it is ready to burp.
