Hi All,
I have a question regarding the rules of this forum and ATS in general. I was around here for the last election and posted in the political forums
then. Being a political forum I expect others to disagree, however, some of my post resulted in hate U2Us. Since then I really do not post too much
to ATS but would like to.
My question is I know you can ignore a user's post but is there anything that can be done about abusive U2Us? I really like debating issues but do
not want to experience that again.
If there is a thread about this I apologize for not catching it. I did look for information on this but did not find anything.

There is no way to block u2u's from specific people. If you receive hateful or abusive u2u's please forward them to the moderators and the
situation will be dealt with.
Hate u2u's are not an acceptable use of the messaging system.

Hello kids.
I don't mean to confuse anybody but I think the BP pledges are being tracked here now:
www.abovetopsecret.com...
I'm not sure if both threads are tracked. You might want to post your pledge on both. Just looking to help out.

Thanks for the tip. Can't post on the other thread, but it did say to U2U SO or the other Mod listed.
I feel an amazing political thread waiting to come out of me but I just don't want to waste it until I've got access to this non-partisan forum.
I've started 2 threads in the past 2 days and so far I've only gotten, "Obama is a radical Muslim" and "Obama doesn't love animals - he has no
pets" responses.
I just can't deal with that. Oh, and if I hear "Obama doesn't wear a lapel" again, I might just have to turn the tables and start calling lapels
unpatriotic.

Does this mean McCain's temper won't be a deciding factor for losing a debate? Sweet.
So discussing Obama's increased taxation policies with regard to Capital Gains, the Annual Minimum Tax (AMT) and other tax venues will be of more
focus is good to know.
