A man who challenged police reversing the wrong way up a one-way street - to visit a chippie - was thrown in a cell and threatened with trumped-up charges.
And he claimed that a Police Community Support Officer sent to the scene promptly issued a warning that taking pictures of youths without permission was illegal, and could lead to a charge of assault.

I believe Police departments worldwide need to perform a specialised psych exam on each of their employees and then sit them down for a test on their knowledge of the law that they are supposedly protecting. I believe this needs to be done before the public loses ALL confidence in the police.
