Oh dear oh dear oh deary me.
Google Earth images are not taken by satellite. They are taken from an aircraft, flying within the Earths atmosphere. The photographs are then
stitched together, superimposed with computer enhanced images of Earth from space (what you see before zooming in) and then uploaded to the
internet.
Differing resolutions of the same areas viewed on seperate computers can be explained thus;
1. If you pay for the full version you get better resolution.
2. If you pay for a good graphics card, you get better resolution.
