On a smaller scale, considering that New York and California make up almost a quater of the total population of the US, don't you think the decisions made by those governors and mayors has an economic impact on rest of the country?



I think that the voters in a few large states have a lot greater say than they should. Most candidates ignore smaller states like mine. Why? who needs the hand full of votes they will get. They consentrate on the large Urban areas that are hardly a cross-section of America

It almost seems that in a general election, some states are almost ignored by candidates, and then even presidents after they are elected. That just ain't right.

Which arguably was a large reason for the first Civil War.

I just hope it doesnt come to that now.
