Tonight I went out for a short walk (at about 9:30pm) and noticed that three stars that I have been watching over the past few days were considerably
brighter than they had been for the past two or three weeks that I had noticed them, the other stars in the sky didnt seem any brighter.
From where I was standing the stars form a lose triangle covering quite a large area, these three bright stars showed a slight halo around them, I
tried to take a photo but all I got was a black picture.
Using the compass and looking north the first star, and by far the brightest of these three, was about north by northwest with the second almost
directly south of its counter part with the third about west by north west. The leading light was about two hand widths above the horizon.
I am using the past tense in describing these lights because they cannot be seen now (10:30pm) even though the sky is clear with not noticeable cloud
cover.
I live on the south coast of England.
