How does Georgia have a claim on S. Ossetia and Abkhazia?

As many of you have probably noticed from my prior posts, I am a little more than just a little sickened by what has been going on in Georgia.

The reason for this particular thread is to discuss and debate the 'claims' that Georgia (and BushCO) supposedly has on S.Ossetia and Abkhazia.

S Ossetia is a very distinctive peoples and they have been on that land since the age of dirt. (First annexed into Russia back in 1801 I believe)


Apparently, these people are mostly Christian and have NOT wanted to be part of Georgia since it broke away from Russia.

I tend to get bent out of shape at times but I am very interested in what the mostly good people here at ATS think about this.

One heads up however, I am VERY -vehemently- opposed to any "one world goverment/financial system/religion" Ideology.

To me "Democracy" does NOT equal "NWO". I guess you could say I am a nationalist when it comes to Democracy.
