He's honestly and truly a non-partisan centrist.

How about his record?
McCain has worked closely with liberals like Ted Kennedy and Russell Feingold and has frequently acted against the best interests of the Republican Party because he thought he was benefiting the wider interests of the American people. Personally, I was absolutely disgusted with him over the whole open-borders stance he took last year, and I'm not even convinced that he wholeheartedly believes we need to secure the border before addressing the illegal immigration problem.... But, I've got to give the man credit for taking unpopular positions that ought to harm his electability simply because he thinks he's doing the right thing.

What happened Johnny, Please tell me, why did it fail. I'm sure the crowd and the people at home would have liked to hear what your greatest moral failure is.
Straight Talk Express..lol...Wouldn't it be great if the questions of the world could be answered with one word and one liners..

McCain played the questions to his advantage .
Ah, yes. Just what we need for a president... A "player" who "takes advantage" to "win"...
I'd actually rather have an honest, intelligent thinker, myself.

A leader that does not use advantages given to him is a poor leader. One must find balance. I dont care how smart you are, smartness does not prepare you for the real world.
There's factors such a street smarts, brains and brawn all play a factor, unfortunately Obama only has one of those.
Hate to break it to you, but what you "rather have" in terms of honesty does not exist in politics and never will.

Thanks Marg. I have said repeatedly that I am rather lukewarm to Obama, I liked John Edwards but I would have liked to have seen something like a Richardson/Clarke ticket. That being said however I was impressed with Obama's answers to the people in this church. Like I said they were intelligent and nuanced and he stood his ground on issues such as abortion. McCain sounded like a robot... nothing he said struck me as genuine or even half heartedly felt.

If I were one of those evangelicos attending I would have been pissed off at McCain's responses because it was obvious he was only saying what they wanted to hear.

I would rather have someone who knows the the price of freedom.
On May 27, the New York Times published one of the most incredible sentences I’ve ever seen. They ran an article about the Nixon-Kissinger interchanges. Kissinger fought very hard through the courts to try to prevent it, but the courts permitted it. You read through it, and you see the following statement embedded in it. Nixon at one point informs Kissinger, his right-hand Eichmann, that he wanted bombing of Cambodia. And Kissinger loyally transmits the order to the Pentagon to carry out "a massive bombing campaign in Cambodia. Anything that flies on anything that moves."

Funny thing is, if the script was flipped Obama would be in a Heeeeap of trouble. I estimate 3 to 5 threads Ranging from Obama is a liar to Obama Anti-Christ first phase of stealing elections.
Its funny you don't see the Obamatrons pouncing on this thread like they usually do. Maybe they finally realize they are done for?
