Secrecy Surrounds Billionaire's Contributions To Pro-Republican Group: Freedomswatch.org

www.huffingtonpost.com
One of the best kept secrets of the current election cycle is the amount of money casino billionaire Sheldon Adelson has invested in pro-Republican advocacy organization: Freedom's Watch.

Adelson is not merely a donor. He and his allies conceived the idea for Freedom's Watch at a 2007 meeting of the Republican Jewish Coalition in Florida

Freedom's Watch has adamantly refused to disclose the scope of Adelson's financial support, which is widely believed to be run well into the millions.

I think it can be agrued that there are a few groups on the left that perform hatchet jobs like those the Swift Boaters perpetrate.

Just because a bunch of left wing people declare they were lying, doesn't make it so. All those guys stand by what they said. I find it interesting how the left often inoculates itself by using veterans as victims, but in this case their veteran status doesn't seem to mean anything.

re a few groups on the left that perform hatchet jobs like those the Swift Boaters perpetrate. However, any cursory examination of political advertising over the last 5-6 years shows that those groups who align themselves on the right (or extreme right) tend to make baseless and unprovable accusations rather then solidly evidenced ones. Some of the groups on the left might sound like hysterical sissies at times but rarely do the attacks make insane of libelous accusation.

Right,m because you agree with them. Everything I hear from these groups is steeped in democrat talking points. Its just another case of "its ok when democrats do it!".

And please please please go read a definition of fascist. "Left wing fascist" is as oxymoronic as "Muslim Republican", you can't get there from here. Fascism comes from corporate control of the state and military, something we "left wingers" are solidly against.

I called them fascist based on their need to control people and shut up dissent.

The military RECORD indicated that these men were either outright lying or stretching the truth to point of breakage. Are you now claiming that the military is a large left wing organization? Some people still stand by the idea that the world is flat, but we don't listen to them much do we? Standing by a statement with painful conviction means nothing if you don't have at least basic evidence to back it up.
The left innoculates itself to claim victim status? This makes no sense to me at all as I don't even know what the heck you mean by that. But this is a funny thing to hurl at the "left" when your guy runs specifically and especially on his P.O.W. status. I will not say one bad thing about that. He served honorably and well, but you cannot deny that he uses this status as a sheild. So I guess he's innoculated too?

Again, I am not sure what you mean by this.

I called them fascist based on their need to control people and shut up dissent.

This coming from someone who backs the party who wields the PATRIOT act like a cudgle. From someone who backs a party that calls any questioning of government machinations "treasonous" to make sure those asking questions shut up. It would be funny if you yourself were not buying into it hook like and sinker.

I think the bottom line regarding the original topic of this post is that there needs to be transparency in the funding for these outside PAC's. Both sides need to release where all their money comes from. Transparency helps make good governement and the U.S. desperately needs more of.

I'm frankly sick of it... Drone has no scruples if he figures it is good for the USA
to run pointless and mean advertising meant to confuse and muddy everything.

Keep this up and I might pull a hatchet + wood chipper job... I've had it... I f123 em up

Damned Socialist Plutocrats!
