America Is A Cesspool Of Evil And Wickedness

The truth is that each generation is getting worse and this current generation is the most wicked generation in America's history.

You don't believe me?

Read "15 Things That Are Wrong With America" and then tell me that America is fine:

What makes all these things immoral and evil? YOur opinion?

#1) America is completely addicted to pornography

Men being visual stimulated is not evil. It was the way they were created... by WHOM though? the Creator that is imposing these rules that it is immoral? I highly doubt it. Seems more like an imposition by those who want to interpret things for the Creator. So long as the woman are consenting to allow men to worship their bodies, then I am not sure where the "evil" is coming into play.

#2) America has killed over 40 million babies through abortion

I won't disagree with this... however, it is just as sick to stand on street corners with HUGE arse signs of aborted babies desensitizing the younger generation who are walking/driving by. Also just as wrong to have the gov't impose christian morals onto the rest of the population.

#3) America is now tolerating gay marriage

tolerating would be letting a man get freaky on top of another man in the middle of my living room. Who the hell am I to care if they wanna do it behind their own closed doors?? It is their life, not mine.

#5)America brutally tortures the prisoners it takes

Not gonna argue, but this is nothing new and other countries do it as well. Not saying nothing should be done about it, but I also think something should be done about being tortured w/ other ppl's morals in my life.

#6)America is using immoral depleted uranium weapons

You do know that Bush claims to be Christian, right? So, maybe you should go talk to your brother on behalf of the rest of us.

#7)America's national debt is almost 10 TRILLION dollars

Churches brainwash others into handing over 10% of their earnings every sunday and use it to build bigger and better churches and help the pastor live luxurious lives while many in their parish and community are struggling to make ends meet.

#8)Child abuse, especially child sexual abuse, has become a national epidemic in America

Usually committed by either mexicans or those who are in churches and thought to be the "ideal" example of what a good citizen should be.

#9)Divorce is at record levels, and it is as common in the church as it is in the broader society

And here is the truth. Often divorce occurs because one or the other is trying to impose their way of thinking and life onto the other rather than just accepting them as they are, where they are. (typically the woman is doing this)

#10)The greed of America is absolutely stunning

hmmmm...... bet you can't guess where I am gonna go with this one

Alright...... grew bored with this project. You may now return to your evil pursuits

#1) America is completely addicted to pornography:

We are also one of the strictest countries regarding nudity. Coincidence?

#2) America has killed over 40 million babies through abortion:

And what about all the other countries? Try China, for instance

#3) America is now tolerating gay marriage:

No, some states are, most are not. The whole country . . . not even close.

#4)America has totally accepted the theory of Darwinian "Evolution" even though the actual science clearly shows that there was a Creator:

No it doesn't. See the thread titled 1 in 8 teachers teach Creationism.

#5)America brutally tortures the prisoners it takes:

It is a part of war. Torture is carried out by every country that was, is, and will be.

#6)America is using immoral depleted uranium weapons:

Really now . . . can I have proof that we use depleted Uranium bullets and shoot pregnant women who survive to have these children?

#7)America's national debt is almost 10 TRILLION dollars:

That show immorality how?

#8)Child abuse, especially child sexual abuse, has become a national epidemic in America:

Part of the problem is what is considered abuse. If I spank my child, it is abuse. If my daughter walks in on me peeing, it is sexual abuse.

As for real cases of abuse . . . I figure we are about on average with the rest of the world.

#9)Divorce is at record levels, and it is as common in the church as it is in the broader society:

This one I can agree with

#10)The greed of America is absolutely stunning:

So tell me what I should do with all my money. Should the US turn communist? Also, you fail to take into account that the US is also the most giving country of all time. Don't tell me we are greedy.

#12)Murder is so common in the United States that it is a joke to the rest of the world:

Flat out wrong! Russia is the highest. US has 5.7 murders per 100,000. UK is 2.3.

#13)False religions are exploding in America at a rate that is mind blowing:

Considering that America has the freedom of religion, are you surprised? Instead of judging, why not take the challenge and go win souls?

#14)America is destroying the environment of the world:

There are many countries that are worse polluters than the US. In fact, most countries of the world are worse.

#15)Meanwhile, the church in America is a complete mess and they don't even understand the basics of the Christian faith anymore:

Depends on what church you are talking about. But, who's to blame? The people themselves.

3, 4, and 13 just show the bigotry of the author.
14 ignores the work folks are doing to help the world, many of wich are government sponsored.

It's a list of garbage and hate, fueled by the posters own hatred of America, and ignoring the rest of the world's problems it seems, as well as focusing solely on America's problems.
Also, mostly the fellow links to himself as proof, that doesn't really help his point.

#1) America is completely addicted to pornography:

Did you realize that....

89% of porn is created in the United States?

Oh Really?

And the rest of the world doesn't participate?

Also, how does a generation percentage of 89% translate into 100%(completely) consumption by the American populace?

#2) America has killed over 40 million babies through abortion:

Oh...the old fetus is a baby argument. Tell you what, when you learn to live billions of different lives all at once, then perhaps I may entertain a notion that you have an obligation, much less a need, to concern yourself with other people and their own bodies.

There are current laws that define the point when abortion is no longer an option. Tell me how to measure this 'spirit' thing you guys seem so on about and I may entertain a notion that you may have a point.

#3) America is now tolerating gay marriage:

Again, learn to live billions of different lives at the same time while living your own and then I may gain an interest in why it is you feel the need to prevent people you will never meet (and if you did would definitely not socialize further with) from doing that which makes them happy, at least in relative terms.

Seriously, why care about people you never meet?

#4)America has totally accepted the theory of Darwinian "Evolution" even though the actual science clearly shows that there was a Creator:

shatteredparadigm.blogspot.com...

You amuse me. You really do. Galapogos Islands, my fine furry friend (
). Research it. Sorry to burst your bubble, but mankind is an animal.

As for your evidence of a Creator...it comes in the form of an attack on Evolutionism and as well refrains from actually mentioning Creationism, save for as the 'better option'.

Cute, really. Quite adorable that an exaggerated bedtime story regarding the invisible man in the sky (thanks George) has gotten so popular. Have fun playing make believe!

#5)America brutally tortures the prisoners it takes:

No argument from me on that one. It has been demonstrated that America does have a policy of torture. Thanks for finally providing a good example!

#6)America is using immoral depleted uranium weapons:

You actually provide no proof on this claim...and I'm not wading through the reasons why there is no proof.

#7)America's national debt is almost 10 TRILLION dollars:

If you had any economic awareness, you would realize that the economy necessitates fluctuations in the national budget.

Of course, we can see that the 'dollar', or whatever currency, is in itself an acknowledgement of debt. Your paycheck is an IOU note. Once you have exchanged it has the previously agreed upon notion of compensation been satisfied.

Maybe you would like to read some more about what you are supporting here?

Because you are 1 for seven. It's a poor average, to say the least.

#8)Child abuse, especially child sexual abuse, has become a national epidemic in America:

I question the voracity of your numbers (you didn't provide any sourced proof here) and the subjectivity of the statements.

Though I don't doubt that child abuse occurs, your implication is that it is an accepted practice.

It is not. When discovered, it is punished.

Stop string misrepresenting facts.

#9)Divorce is at record levels, and it is as common in the church as it is in the broader society:

Again...why do you care about people who are not you. Some people get rushed into marriage by overbearing religious affiliations to discover that they made poor decisions.

Good on them for wanting to correct there mistakes.

#10)The greed of America is absolutely stunning:

America happens to be the number 1 national philantropist. Do you actually research anything?

#1) America is completely addicted to pornography:

America believes in free enterprise. The majority of Americans aren't addicted to porn. Those who are, however, buy a lot of it. And, for the record, Europe has an large porn industry.

#2) America has killed over 40 million babies through abortion:

I have no reason to doubt this figure. However, I also have no reason to doubt that the worldwide figure is greater than the American. But you're free to spin it however you want.

#3) America is now tolerating gay marriage:

What exactly is your point? And how does that make us evil?

#4)America has totally accepted the theory of Darwinian "Evolution" even though the actual science clearly shows that there was a Creator:

So you're of the belief that the two can't co-exist together? How open-minded of you.

#6)America is using immoral depleted uranium weapons:

So do a lot of other countries. If you think America is the only one, then you're incredibly naive.

#7)America's national debt is almost 10 TRILLION dollars:

You're the only person I've ever known who bases evil on the amount of money you owe. That is so absolutely ludicrous, it warrants no further discussion.

#8)Child abuse, especially child sexual abuse, has become a national epidemic in America:

Actually, it's become an international epidemic. But, again, you're free to spin it however you want.

#9)Divorce is at record levels, and it is as common in the church as it is in the broader society:

So if you get a divorce, then you're evil and wicked? My mother is evil and wicked then, is that it? I assure you that will not find a stronger Christian on this planet than my mother. Move out of the Dark Ages and join us in the 21st Century.

#10)The greed of America is absolutely stunning:

Perhaps. But not as stunning as your ignorance and complete lack of logic.

#11)Adultery and fornication are practically the national sports of America, and that has resulted in an explosion of STDs:

Greece actually has the most sex in the world, with 87% of respondents to a poll indicating that they have sex at least once a week. (www.gadling.com...) As for STDs, the U.S. does have the highest rate for developed countries. However, that is declining due to a renewed rise in contraceptive use.

#12)Murder is so common in the United States that it is a joke to the rest of the world:

It is? Well, if it's a joke, then who's laughing?

#13)False religions are exploding in America at a rate that is mind blowing:

Yeah...about that. See, we have this thing we like to call "Freedom of Religion." Sorry if you don't like it, but it seems to work for us.

#14)America is destroying the environment of the world:

Really? Just America? Here's a list of the countries with the highest pollution...

1. Chernobyl, Ukraine
2. Dzerzhinsk, Russia
3. Haina, Dominican Republic
4. Kabwe, Zambia
5. La Oroya, Peru
6. Linfen, China
7. Maiuu Suu, Kyrgyzstan
8. Norilsk, Russia
9. Ranipet, India
10. Rudnaya Pristan/Dalnegorsk, Russia

(environment.about.com...)

Please point to where is says "United States"

#15)Meanwhile, the church in America is a complete mess and they don't even understand the basics of the Christian faith anymore:

That's a church problem, not an American problem.

I find this thread an insult to my intelligence. It is precisely the reason why so many people worldwide have turned from the Catholic Church. These views anciently dogmatic and have absolutely no relevance in the contemporary world. Thank you. Goodbye.

I would have completed the list, but I really wanted to give an example of the answer our thread author has presented in response to the 'atrocity' that is America...

Law 1:

God loves you and offers a wonderful plan for your life

I apologize for the crass expression...but your illustration of what may be societal issues are for what?

To gain the allegiance of an individuals attention and loyalty?

Give me a break.

Next time, show up with facts, a source that does its' homework and answers on how to solve the factual problems presented. Fearmongering just to gain another 'Christian' is stupid and a waste of my and others' time.

I'd say good day, but I don't know you...so...have a day.

Why not, I have little else to do at work right now.

#1) America is completely addicted to pornography

Who cares? Let's not forget that the girls and guys in there chose to bear all and have sex in front of the camera. I watch porn and so does my wife. Funny how we're still perfectly joyous in our marriage

#2) America has killed over 40 million babies through abortion:

True and this one sucks but I am not sure it makes us evil. Again as posted before carrying signs around like that is awful and as you can tell, it hasn't changed a thing

#3) America is now tolerating gay marriage:

This is evil only in some mindsets. I am all for it frankly.

#4)America has totally accepted the theory of Darwinian "Evolution" even though the actual science clearly shows that there was a Creator:

Science has yet to proove creationism OR evolution completely. Accepted by all? Are you nuts??? Ever heard of the creationism museum and the hoardes of people who travel there?

#5)America brutally tortures the prisoners it takes:

No way any other countries do this. Prisoners being beheaded and the Bataan death march sound familiar?

#6)America is using immoral depleted uranium weapons:

To quote one of my favorite movies (a Few Good Men)

"You of course have proof of this. OH! That's right I forgot you were sick the day they taught law at law school"

#7)America's national debt is almost 10 TRILLION dollars:

Gonna have to agree here. Money doesn't make evil IMO

#8)Child abuse, especially child sexual abuse, has become a national epidemic in America:

International Child Abuse Abstract

Don't even bother buying it, just look at the abstract.

#9)Divorce is at record levels, and it is as common in the church as it is in the broader society:

I will agree the rate is very high, but again as stated before that does not make a person evil

#10)The greed of America is absolutely stunning:

This might be the one I agree with because we all know greed doesn't occur in other countries

#11)Adultery and fornication are practically the national sports of America, and that has resulted in an explosion of STDs:

Once again...stated above in the link we aren't the number one. Personal choice IMO. I have sex quite often and I am not evil (at least I don't think I am)

#12)Murder is so common in the United States that it is a joke to the rest of the world:

International Murder Rates by Capita

Number 24 on the list and nowhere close to the top

#13)False religions are exploding in America at a rate that is mind blowing:

Freedom of religion. What exactly IS a false religion anyway? Who determines the validity? If I want to worship my Sprite bottle and I truely believe it, it isn't false...speaking of which I want a Sprite now

#14)America is destroying the environment of the world:

((see list above in other post))

#15)Meanwhile, the church in America is a complete mess and they don't even understand the basics of the Christian faith anymore:

And exactly whose fault is this if it is true? It doesn't make the country evil, it means the Church needs to do some work and people need to take responsibility

All in all I wuld say I can agree with maybe one of these. Sorry to say you are preaching your tainted words to the the wrong ears here
