I just wanted to get some feedback on a very weird thing that happened to me back in 2001/2002.

In the summer of 2001 I was shopping at the local Wal-Mart. I was wandering around the video department, killing time, while my two sons played around with the video games. While looking at DVD’s I happened upon a name a movie that I hadn’t thought about in a long time. The movie was “Rollerball”. I recalled watching it as a kid and was excited to see it again.

As I picked it up I was surprised to see that the individual actors appearing on the cover were not the ones I recalled in the movie. I didn’t recall an African American in the movie as one of the key characters at all. On closer examination I realized that it was LL Cool J pictured on the cover. Which made me immediately realize this was not the 1975 production I had seen as a kid.

My next thought was one of surprise that they had remade the movie and I hadn’t heard about it at all. I’m not huge on movies but I tend to pay attention when they remake a classic I enjoyed as a kid.

With the copy of the new version in hand I wandered around the video department and was pleasantly surprised to find that the original version, with James Caan, was also available on DVD.

Deciding I didn’t really want to buy either movie (dumb move in hindsight) I put them back and never thought about them again after we left the store.

Never thought about them that is until, in January of 2002, I was sitting at home working on the computer, TV playing in the background, a commercial came on that about knocked me out of my chair. A commercial was announcing the new movie that was about to hit theatres… “Rollerball” starring, among others, LL Cool J.

Now, unless Wal-Mart was heavy into video pirating (and remind you… I stumbled on this movie quite a long time before it’s release) I have never come up with a logical explanation for this event.

With people talking about Time Shifts/Splits/Time Line merging I started thinking about this again. One weird fact that I keep pondering is that if it's a time line collapse or merge... the first part happened prior to 9/11 and the second part was after that event.

Thanks for reading... I'd love your thoughts.

If you are absolutely sure you saw that dvd in 2001, then no explanation can be found. Unless you walked around wal-mart with a different ll cool j movie.

Seriously, the movie was released 2002 so no way it could be pirate, that would be insane. Are you sure the dvd you walked around with was infact a dvd, perhaps it was a pre-release fakie box, to get peoples attention to the crappy movie coming soon?

I dunno . . .

Good questions... yes... I'm sure that it was the real movie. Regular DVD case with a front and back. Not a promo piece of any kind. The image on the cover had three actors on it. When I found the DVD of the original it only had a spiked fist holding a steel ball. They were both completely different designs.

this is happening a lot to many people...u are not going crazy if anyone tries to tell you that, don't listen... look check out these two threads...the first one is a good one on the challenger, the second one is one i myself started that puts a different spin on it and my attempt to explain it. and the third one is the longest one with MANY differing stories. I'm having tons of views but no replies on mine for some reason, and i think it's one of the best explanations yet. but , i soppose other people aren't taking it serious.
the challenger time split link:
my thread on my challenger experience, and an interesting idea on why:
the very long and very varied link on time splits:

anyway, star and flag for your thread, i know how hard it can be to get peoples attention, and i think this subject is very important, as i feel it is the symptom of something much bigger.
