The Pentagon today released about two dozen Afghans and Pakistani's that were being held in Guantanamo, Cuba on suspicion of terrorism. There are
currently about 600 men of various citizenships being held in Guantanamo, however about 100 has been released or transferred in the past month to
their respective countries.

They were being flown back to Afghanistan and Pakistan aboard U.S. aircraft, but a public announcement was being withheld until their arrival, the
officials said. Terms of their release were not immediately clear, but it appeared it would be up to their governments to decide what to do with them.
