How do people get reality shows?

So here is a few for you because I am awful curious as to how these people who many have never heard of get this action and then why once amazing celebrities now need a show?

Who is Tila Tequila?
Why do we care about the Kardashians (who I still don't know)
Why does that hack Ashlee Simpson need a show?
Should I care about Living Lohan?
Should I chase Farrah?
Do I give a crap what a spoiled 16 year old received for her birthday?

and finally...one of the worst...

Why do dogs need their own show???

Maybe I am jaded and that is fine. I actually like som reality TV but liek all other treands it is getting ridiculous...just awful

I truly have never heard of Tila Tequila and the Kardashians

I just now found out that Tila is supposedly some MySpace princess...so if I get enough friends and some fake assets on my body can I have my show?

ashlee simpson is cool, i never knew she had a reality show though. i cant normally stand there and watch more than five minutes of these programs. its awkward. it would be cool if they had a cool one about 'stoners' and people who go to clubs.
