I really am not sure what this could be...possibly some form of tic or flea?

Take a look at the video here and tell me what you think. I am truly stumped.

That is FFFRRRREEEEAAAKKKEEEYYY!
I wish I haden't looked at it. I am going to be bug bombing my house now.
I have such mixed feelings about that thing.
In one way I hope that someone saya it's a known bug.
But then again I don't want to know that there are millions of those things waiting for the chance to infiltrate my pillow.
Where did you find this thing. I hope its on the other side of the planet.

That's the strangest bug I've ever seen.

What is it? And where the heck does it live?

Apparently it's some type of Leafhopper Nymph. That explains the ability to jump.

Here is a similar-looking bug:

Leafhopper Nymph

Another site I visited mentioned that they ingest so much sap that they extrude excess suger which can look feathery. I guess they poop cotton candy.

Hey! you still havent told us if you are on the other side of the world or not.
And if this thing might be hanging around.
I showed it to my wife.
She said if one of those things ever get into the house, she's "outta here".

Do you think you can catch one for me?

I dont know why people are so creeped out by bugs I've always loved them since I was a kid. Anybody care to enlighten me in bugphobia?

Iknow bugphobia isnt the correct term.

I think it comes from hearing about bugs like the camel spider. I think thats what its called.
The spider that has a numbing effect so that you cant feel when you are being chomped on.
And the image we project in our minds, of waking up with a big chunk of our faces gone.
