I am doing a survery for my English class. Please post your honest, no smart-ass, thoughts.

"What do you find most frightening about growing up? Why?"

I think it is because we never stop growing up. We grow up for our parents, friends, partners, bosses, children, but never achieve their excepted level.

And is my answer right?

I'm afraid of a couple things, that being, losing my,

innocence

knowing of right and wrong (keeping it pure & simple)

success


I'm afraid of the future until I become more comfortable within myself, which i'm not sure i'll ever be able to do. And thats another fear within itself.


I'm also still scared of the dark if you can believe that. I hate being in the basement without lights on. I run up the stairs quick cuz i think someone is going to pull me down!

I'm afraid of mirrors in the dark too. Ever since grade 6 when these girls I knew called on bloody mary, I still can't stand in front of a mirror.

Hell, I never grew up. I really don't have any fears, but I have many regrets. Many things that I never had a chance to experience when I was younger. Other than that, I could care less...

Growing old and senile (sp?). Other than that, I'm 30 and still don't think I've "grown up". It's all in your attitude......keep that youngness as long as you can.

You get hair growing all over your body.

Old age and dieing not being able to get out of the house and do things I want .

The opposite sex, cuz i can never figure them out.

Realizing that most adults are incredibly and completely ignorant and stupid.

If you think growing up is scary wait till you start growing old, and you relize that you know more dead people than living people.

You look around you in a room and see that you are the oldest person there.

You are, or almost are, the oldest person in your family.

People you know are dying on a weekly basis.

You know that statisticly speaking you could die any day.


That my little friend is scary.
