Looks like a rock to me. Now when you have a group of them, gesturing and maybe carrying babies and other such, I might think otherwise.

Maybe one of Phoenix/rover pilots got out for a smoke or just to breath fresh air? Wait, there is almost any oxygen on Mars. I blame it on poor NASA training.
If this thing is alive (and why it should be? It is not moving) i guess it has less in common with ape then me and sea shell. Different planet,different conditions ---> different life forms.

I am normally lead to see what is ''meant'' to be there, but this time i opened

the link while looking at the pic you posted for a fraction of a second and to my

surprise i actually see what looks like an ape! In the mars rover link, you can

almost make the outlines of the face seems like they might be wearing some

kind of cap ? and maybe not a tail but some backpack thingy? interesting

why is the cone shape thingy elevated like its been propt up? or has it some sort of an unusually attachment buried in the sand.

It's an interesting object, but I don't think it's an ape. It looks more like a Martian rock.

I'm more curious about the obvious tampering, the shiny object on the right side horizon, and some other objects(mostly in the lower right corner).

As for the snake and baseball, I think you're looking too hard to find something...anything.

Geez, has it already gotten to the point where animals have surpassed humans in space exploration?
Today we have Apes on Mars and yesteryear we had...

Ok that rock formation does resemble a silver back gorilla, but what's with the small grizzly bear?
Why don't they move?
