ok this is what i think we need to do, and is what im going to look into...

I think we need to consider the green pixel values from teh center few lines of the image. they are:

(each line is the row of colours before the puple line, which is green 0)

110 102 97 99 109 101 93 100 100
98 114 94 103 106 115
106 107 99 98 97 100
93 109 98 110 93 101 95
102 99 103 96 114 104 109 109 102
102 104 93 94 110

this converts to :

ABCDEFGHH IJKLMN MODICH GEIAGFP BDLQJREEB BRGKA

(when you assign a letter from the alphabet sequentially to each unique number)

This is it reversed:

AKGRB BEERJQLDB PFGAIEG HCIDOM NMLKJI HHGFEDCBA

This is it with X as green value 0 (ie a space in the other)

ABCDEFGHHxIJKLMNxMODICHxGEIAGFPxBDLQJREEBxBRGKA

This is the difference between each green value if you start at 0 for 110:

0 8 5 2 10 8 8 7 0
2 16 20 9 3 9
9 1 8 1 1 3
7 16 11 12 17 8 6
7 3 4 7 18 10 5 0 7
10 2 11 1 6

This becomes: (with a letter assigned as above)

ABCDEBBFA DGHIJI IKBKKJ FGLMOBP FJQFRECAF EDLKP

Hope this helps someone

Perhaps the 'hint' has been clarified. I just updated the page, and it reads:

"An intense graphic analysis of anything other than the colors of this cryptogram will not help you."

I think the new hint is telling us 'TRY AGAIN'

Ah, ok. So it goes back to what you and I said before when we warned everyone to not over think it.

Two ATS cookies for me and Ian perhaps?

Just teasing.

But thanks.

mmmmm, so they changed the hint huh..........
just as a recap, this is what I think we have as far as ideas go

1. green values
2.glyphs
3.the right one

we just need to find out what number three is, then use number one and two to beat the crap out of these guys.

Good Job AG and thanks for posting al that. I agree we should work on these as anagrams. I have the decrypto program working on my computer but I don't think a standard dictionary is going to help. I can make a huge conspiracy related dictionary using the tags on ATS. The problem is they are comma separated phrases and the dictionary needs single words per line. Can anyone write a scrip to accomplish this? Might help us.

Here's what I think we need to do. I'm not a gimp expert, but I think this might lead to something.

If you choose colormap on the image, you will see that there are 256 colors (16*16). You can rearrange the colormap so that the colors are in order fom lowest to highest. I think this will yield a clue.

If anyone wants a text file of the hex codes and their place in the colormap, send me a U2U with your email addy and I will send to you. I thought I had figured out how to do this in gimp, but now it doesn't work for some reason.

I am using The Official Decrypto website. But I also downloaded the stand alone client. Unfortunately I feel most of the words in these puzzles will not be in a regular dictionary.

Can someone please try my suggestion. I don't know how to do this, but I think there is something to this. Arrange the colormap (in gimp) from lowest to highest.....

If you start with A=0 for the difference in green values i added in a previous post, you get:

aifckiiha cqujdj hqlmrig hdehskfah kclbg

But the decryption website i was using is broken now and i can not access it to see if that is useful?

It doesn't show anything up with 1-25 ROT decryption

most likely were looking at words that sound like words, a cryptogram uses dictionary based words and not sound or look alike words.

I dont know if its of any relevance but the first pink code Ian solved was on a puzzle that required rearranging the the horozantal rows of pixels, they created the phrase "THE GAME BEGINS ON AUGUST EIGHTH AND YOU WILL NEED YOUR WITS CREATIVITY AND IMAGINATION TO WIN" both right side up and upside down.

I can't help but think something might be simialer here with the shaded rows both identical right side up, and upside down. Or I'm just thinking to hard

Has solved the title yet?

8uhnbsgt62bs

I've tried everything, but can't find an answer. I think the title might provide a clue on how to approach the picture. When I first saw the title I thought the last 4 digits referred to 62 bits, which would be much more probable if it was 64 bits instead of 62, but...

perhaps the color itself has something to do with it. I mean, out of all the colors, why purple? just a choice, or part of the clue?

also, is anyone else seeing the pic in purples? some people (inlcuding my grandmother) are seeing pinks on their screens.
