The horizontal rows are just a effect placed on all the images in the game and build up game so far. I think a sample from the center of the image is what we should consider.

perhaps the file name is important. I mean, they wouldn't name it something random. maybe code legend? gonna think about this.

me losing my mind over this----->

You just never know
I have been working on this for hours and hours and I'm stressing out lol. I've been taking breaks playing games.

OK so I got to the point where I was about to throw my keyboard out the window so I decided to change tacks and try something completely different. I chopped the image up, cut out the middle section that didn't have horizontal lines going through it then sharpened it.

I came up with this....

Zoomed in 2x...

Any thoughts? To me they look like glyphs of some description.

I even gave up and went to bed last night in the hopes you geniuses would have solved it in my sleep so we could move onto the next one.

Guess not.

I was looking at that yesterday, too, and so was someone else. It is a mighty odd file name to choose over something like 'game4.jpg' or something simple like that.

The file names might be significant, but they've all been strange so far.

well, i noticed that the "glyphs" seem reflected over the center. I'm splitting the pic right now, as well as removing the purples, as it's too hard to look at with all the different colors.

What if it's so simple? We all will probably be kicking ourselves if it turns to be really simple

Not trying to complicate thing here, but right-click image and go to save as, then add .txt at end of file name. it saves it as a word document. maybe something in there

...just started doing this and I missed the first puzzles but....

-maybe the file names are cryptograms each giving a clue to the next puzzle?

-since the file names are a mix of numbers maybe consider letters (a-x) and numbers (0-9) when trying to match up the code with or without the caesar shift?

Has anyone done any experiments using ALT codes? I briefly tried some things using alt codes based on color codes but it has all been gibberish so far.

americandingbat- That helps a lot. Thanks. I missed the first three games so didn't know all the titles were weird. Ok, so that means most likely it is insignificant in this case. Don't anyone take my word for it, though.

Deaf Alien- I'd be pissed!
I'm thinking it isn't simple but it isn't AS hard as some of us are making it out to be. Either way, if it turns out to be completely simple to where I feel like an idiot for not seeing or if it turns out to be so complicated only Einstein with some special software that I don't even own could figure it out, I will be furious in both cases.

I've been slicing and dicing the thing to see if there's a horizontal pattern. I think there may be. (At first I thought it might be Morse code, but it's definately not.)

Here's what I have so far:

If you save this and open it in PhotoShop (I'm using PhotoPlus6 'cuz that's what's on this computer 'cuz it's free
) and zoom in to 400%, the vertical portions seperate amazingly easily.

Anybody else wanna try mixing and matching? My eyes are starting to glaze over.

OK so I played with the colour settings to make it easier on the eyes.

I definately think there may be something in this:

here's what i got form your image. they are all the top half of it, as i thought it was reflected across middle.

purples removed

i also noticed green squares. here they are isolated:

and here's the whites by themselves:

Anyone think that there is any significance to the Red and Blue channel being static at 121? I tried subtracting the green channel values from 121, which gets the numbers closer to the alphabet range of 1-26. But there are a couple of stragglers that produce numbers slightly higher than 26.

Maybe some other meaning of 121 as well as a clue... dunno.

I spent the greater part of this afternoon on that theory mate and my brain is hurting from it. I tried every which way possible to play with the green values and decipher them, all to no avail.

yeah, i noticed that too, but on my comp it says the red and blue values are 122. try subtracting them from 122 instead.
