So, if the blogspot is true, we can have reall doo-doo hit the fan, that is if NATO and the neck-tie-eater go through with their plans. Russia will
have to deal with them in a "primitive way".

The thread is big, my last reply was lost.
I commented to the last poster, what I cannot remember. But I do remember what I want to say.
Ahem...someone please disprove that Russia is (as of right now) amassing troops on the Georgian' border.
I am counting on my fellow ATS members to scrutinize the link/blogspot I provided previously. Do not make plucky mad.

This is a known (and apparently ignored) bug of the forum code, the bigger the thread the more posts it needs to show the last page.
What I usually do is to change the page number on the address bar to the next value, if you see
http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread379588/pg317 on the address bar then change it to
http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread379588/pg318 and see if there are any posts on that page.
Now, for the real subject of your posts, I haven't seen any reference to that anywhere, that is why I do not like blogs, anyone can write what they
want in a blog, but because it's a blog it gives something of an "official" look to what is written.

I suppose then you should worry less about the code and check the sources?

Thank you for that. And all of you. So something is stirring. NATO would be more than idiotic to go through with their exercises now. Don't mess
with Russia (it's like Texas, only bigger). Their troops are better trained. They may not have the best equipment, but in hand-to-hand they would
clean house.
I will search for more information too.

Found this little dilly
Russia may cancel military talks with NATO
Russia threatened on Monday to call off a meeting of senior military commanders with NATO next month if the alliance went ahead with planned
exercises in ex-Soviet Georgia, Interfax news agency reported. "If we see no reaction (to Russia's protests about the exercises) ... the
Russia-NATO meeting of the chiefs of staff planned for May 7 will not take place," Interfax quoted Dmitry Rogozin, Russia's envoy to NATO, as
saying. NATO spokesman James Appathurai said there were no plans to cancel the exercise. "As far as NATO is concerned, nothing has changed," he
said. "The meeting of chiefs of defence will take place and Russia is invited, and preparations for the exercise continue...Russia describes the
exercises as NATO support for Georgia, a crucial transit route for Caspian Sea oil and gas to Europe, and long controlled by Moscow.
And here's the kicker:
NATO says it does not understand why Moscow is upset by the plans for exercises, which will involve 19 countries from May 6 to June 1.
Ignorance is bliss, eh?

Some more information about the situation in the region, in this case in South Ossetia.
MOSCOW (Reuters) - The pro-Russian breakaway region of South Ossetia has detained several observers from the OSCE for illegally crossing the
Georgian-South Ossetian border, a separatist official told Reuters on Tuesday.
"OSCE representatives were detained on South Ossetian territory for illegal border crossing," Irina Gagloyeva said, without giving further details.
She was unable to say how many observers had been held.
An OSCE spokeswoman confirmed separately that two OSCE military observers had been detained by South Ossetian forces.

And the next "episode"...
Two OSCE monitors were released by the authorities in breakaway South Ossetia two and a half hours after their detention on April 21.
Breakaway South Ossetia’s authorities said the two observers were detained “for illegal crossing of the South Ossetia’s border.”
OSCE said that two of its unarmed monitors - one Hungarian and one Turkish national – were detained “near” the village of Nikozi. The village,
which is under the Georgian control, is located in an immediate vicinity of the breakaway region’s administrative border.

Any validity to this?
Gunfire exchanged on Georgia-South Ossetia border
April 23, 2009 07:04 EDT TBILISI, Georgia (AP) -- Georgia and its breakaway region of South Ossetia have reported gunfire exchanges along their
tense administrative border. No casualties have been reported. The reported shootings occurred before talks with international monitors Thursday on
efforts to diffuse tensions in the region following last year's war between Georgia and Russia, which backs South Ossetia. Georgia's Interior
Ministry says a police post in the village of Plavi came under automatic weapon fire for several minutes Wednesday night. South Ossetia's separatist
government says about two hours later heavy-caliber weapons were fired on the village of Otrev, where about 15 families live. A government spokeswoman
says villagers sought safety in nearby woods.

A few update on the whole situation...
On one side...
Russia prepared to 'significantly' cut
nuclear arsenal: general
"In this treaty, which should replace the START treaty, it is necessary to limit the delivery systems of the nuclear warheads and not only the
quantity of warheads themselves -- taking into account intercontinental ballistic missiles, and submarine-based ballistic missiles and heavy bombers
that carry nuclear means," he said.
Medvedev said it was important to prevent the placing of strategic weapons outside national borders or in space and added that countries should not
be able to build up conventional forces to compensate for cuts in nuclear ones.
And the other...
Russia accuses US on missile shield
A top Russian official on Tuesday accused the US administration of President Barack Obama of intensifying missile defence plans and said Russia saw
no basis for big cuts in its nuclear arsenal.

More noise:
SOssetian village fired at from Georgia
TSKHINVAL, April 24 (Itar-Tass) --A South Ossetian village came under machine-gun fire from the territory of Georgia on Thursday night, Ibrahim
Gasseev, South Ossetian Deputy Defence Minister, told Itar-Tass on Friday. According to his information, “a Cobra armoured vehicle moved from the
Georgian village of Dirbi towards the South Ossetian border at about 01.00 on Thursday night. The village of Velit, Znauri District of South Ossetia,
was fired at from a large-calibre machine-gun off the armoured vehicle.” Gasseev said that “international military observers stated on many
occasions that Georgia did not have large-calibre weapons in the zone of their responsibility, and that it needs Cobra armoured vehicles only for
police patrolling.” “Such provocations have taken place many times of late. We shall take adequate measures in the future,” he said.

Georgia, Russia spat over border defense pacts
MOSCOW, May 1 (Xinhua) -- Georgia strongly condemns the April 30 border defense pacts signed between Russia and Georgia's two breakaway
regions South Ossetia and Abkhazia, Russian news agencies reported on Friday, citing a statement issued by the Georgian Foreign Ministry.
NATO and the Czech EU Presidency also voiced concerns over the agreements, regarding the documents as a breach of the previous ceasefire agreements
reached between Russia and Georgia.
The documents are "another attempt of Russia to enlarge its military presence on the occupied Georgian lands, in the Abkhaz and Tskhinvali
districts," the Itar-Tass news agency reported, citing a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry of Georgia on Friday.
"By doing so, Russia opposes itself to the international community and violates fundamental principles and international laws, as well as the
ceasefire agreement of Aug. 12, 2008, reached between Russia and Georgia with the mediation of French President Nicolas Sarkozy," said the statement.
Interesting. Tensions growing back up between Georgia and Russia.

Not to be a party pooper, but you need to understand that from that 75%, about 30% are battle ridden and tested strike forces.
Similar methods are used in the Israeli army. Lets not forget that Israel has managed to survive as a so called Nation from constant wars with its
surrounding neighbors. Obviously the E.U. is becoming increasingly tired of its method since its being backed by the U.S. , but you will also notice
that even the U.S. is beginning to re-access, who is more valuable as an allie, Israel or the E.U. / Russian / Asia (Pact SOK-SCO).
