Sorry man, it seems like the protesting typist are merely offended that this stuff happens to people all the time and until it happens to them they will do nothing but sheepishly type their pathetic complaints, you are truely on your own. I realized this some time ago and have come to grips with it, it takes generations of this kind of abuse to breed real heros and patriots, there just aren't enough of us yet. Hey look on the bright side they didn't tase the mayor and his wife to death.

I don't think it's a problem of the police but a politics problem.

The politicians are the ones who create the laws that give too much power to the police (or take away power from the people).

Killing people is never a good way of solving problems, specially when the ones that are killed are just a small part of a large organisation.

Do you kill some cops to try to get even? The politicians will created new laws to take away even more people's rights or to give more power to the police. Remember, the police never ends, they can always get some more, and the bigger the power they have the more we will see people on police forces that joined exactly because of the power they will gain over the common citizens.

Here in Portugal something like that would never happen, do you know why? Because nobody can enter someone's house without being let in or without showing a warrant. After sunset and before sunrise, not even with a warrant can the police enter someone's house without being let in.

This was one of first things changed after the revolution that ended the 48 years dictatorship in Portugal, before that the police could enter someone's house when they wanted, day or night, and it was common to be wakened in the middle of the night by the police (or the political police) to be taken to jail just because someone had told the authorities that you had some "subversive" books, for example.

The change of mentality after the revolution (the
Carnation Revolution) saw an obvious change of the laws, and the change of the laws resulted in a change of the mentality of the people who entered police forces, from the mostly under-educated people that saw it as a good way of having a better life than common people (because of the power the regime gave them) the police turned into a force of people that (mostly) wanted to help other people and to help his country to become a peaceful place.

So, after this unusually long post, and in conclusion, I think that the "cure" for this problem is in the politics that create the conditions for this to happen; change the politics (and you have the power to do it, we did not had that power until 1974) and you can (and will) change the direction your country is going to.

Remember, it's always easier to enter a dictatorship than to end it, don't let it start!

So we have two posters who call for killing of all police because of this story about some cops that might or might not have been in the wrong depending upon the whole story which we do not have. Though it does seem rather grim for them and their careers. In order to get a full understanding of what took place we need the full story of both sides from beginning to end, that is what we do not seem to have just yet. It does though seem as if the police might have taken a very wrong turn down a path that will certainly lead to nowhere. One would think that the police already knew where the mayor of their town lived. If they knew (I would think most would) then this may have been some sort of retribution for something he has done. On the other hand maybe they really thought the dogs were attack dogs, any breed of dog can be trained to attack.

But my question is what about the other 100+ stories that will that have happened in the last hour across the U.S. that will not be told? What about the cops that have saved someone’s life? What about the cops that are busting the child molester and getting him off the streets as we speak? What about the cop who comes home to his son and is getting a hug and all he wanted to do that day was try to make things better for his son? What about all the cops who are doing the right thing and upholding the law and the oath they have taken? What about the cops that are doing their job the right way? Should they be killed as well? I once thought that most of the posters on ATS had some intelligence but I see that many are no better than those these stories are written about.

Probably because they don't want to tell the suspects that they are surrounded. What do you think the suspects would do with drugs as evidence in a home?

Thank you officer for warning me about you guys. Give me a few minutes to ditch all the evidence and I will come out peacefully.

Anyways I see a conspiracy here, the dogs must have seen something, crooked cops probably doing something illegal, so those cops killed them.
