I Totaly agree that this information, is very important to listen to! Its the individuals choice to accept, deny, or just keeping the information in mind!

It sounds a bit overboard, I never heard of this kind of thing happening to protesters/activists before, normal procedure I have seen is things like:

Follow them around, photographing them, openly, enough they start to become paranoid.

Interview friends and relatives of the person, say they are investigating some terrible crime, nothing ever comes, but the smear is enough.

If they have a routine such as work, or going to the store, get local cops to pull them on 'routine check' every single day.

Break into their house, stealing items, or just messing the place up, making it obvious someone was in.

Most of the actions are more for a psychological purpose, they want to break that person down, so they either have some kind of breakdown, or just give up.

The only thing going for this story is the mention that CounterPunch is involved in the investigation, and even that isn't a shining endorsement.

One might recall when Ted Koppel tried to dedicate his show to reading the names of our lost soldiers and showing their pictures, only to have 6 affiliate stations pull his show mid-airing. This information is oddly similar to what is posted on the website in question.

I agree that the burden of proof is put on the readers, but dismissing this completely has nothing to do with denying ignorance and everything to do with wallowing in it. Our media has created an atmosphere in which anyone saying something against popular belief (truthful) their character, rather than the questions they raise become the focus.

I'm not in the mood to argue back-and-forth with you like I did in the Tony Snow topic a while back (which was eventually closed thanks to all the disrespect and misconduct). The people of ATS can judge this however they please. If they choose to believe the article, they can, and if they don't trust Alex and want more proof, they can do that too. If you wish to continue arguing about if it's fake or not, you can, but as for me, I've said what I wanted to say. Don't worry, I'll let you have the last word (or last emoticon - whichever you prefer).

I think all this story is doing is boosting the both websites visitor counts, as I tried to refrain from clicking on Alex Jones Diatribe of a site. I inevitably had too as Tom Freely's site has nothing of the story up...

That in itself raises flags for me. I would think he would let it be known on his site as well.

Anyway in the story its said his wife called the FBI... I find that weird, why call the FBI but not call the police and make a report? If it is true wouldn't you want it documented legally in case something happened? I had an issue where I worked with a customer making threats and still I made a report even though there was really nothing that could be done, but the officer even said "hey ya never know these days".

Who knows maybe they did make a report, and just aren't mentioning it, or it makes the story sound "darker" and more "sinister" if that parts left out.

I personally don't think the gov. is going to waste time on his tiny operation. His site is not much to look at. I would guess if there is some harassment its coming from locals who aren't in the right mind set on how to handle things.

There is a big difference between saying the government would not go this far and requesting proof of the government allegedly going this far.

We all know they can and will, at times, go as far as they need to go. The end justifies the means.

However, that does not mean take at face value everything that they are accused of doing. You cannot simply take advantage of "the end justifies the means" and manufacture stories of threats and theft without providing an ounce of proof.

I'm still waiting for someone to point out where the proof is in this article. To this point, no one has shown me it, yet people push forward as if its the truth.

Are we here to learn the truth? Or are we hear to fantasize about the big bad government being after us, simply because someone on the Internet said so?

To question this article doesn't automatically mean one is saying the government never does things like this. To question this article simply means there needs to be PROOF presented.

As I have said MANY times, NO proof has been presented whatsoever. Instead, people must resort to calling others COINTELPRO and warmongers.

How about anyone who believes this story offer up some proof for the rest of us misguided individuals who haven't been blessed by Alex Jones to be able to see the invisible proof hidden in between the lines?

If you're all about getting this information out, how about informing those of us who don't seem to get it?

Thats my challenge to you. Prove this story is true.

Alex has been arrested many times for breaking the law. Illegal protests, protesting without warrant, etc. Being arrested and being released has no barring on anything regarding a person's character. It's not as though he's on the Nigerian ballot -- This is America, and despite what the majority of people here would like to think, they're not the same.

This topic became a debate when you posted it -- A discussion, an argument. In fact it became one after the first reply when the veracity of this was put into question.

Yeah, why blame the nazi and neo-nazi U.S. mercenary soldiers for slaughtering 800,000 innocent civilian women, children, and men and totally destroying the sanitation and food of innocent people, our soldiers are sheeple for the NWO.

Don't hesitate to call a murderer a murderer. The Iraqi civilians have been murdered by U.S. soldiers ... clear and simple.

While I note your view we should not blame murderers because they were 'ordered' to be murderers -- whether they're professional and mercenary murderers such as our military, or whatever ... tell it to the kids in this video -- maybe they'll listen to you. This is ridiculous. Does anybody read the entire post? Or is there just a lack of comprehension. For the second time to the second person I will say you miss the point of my post. I will explain since context obviously means nothing.

Some individuals in our military believe they are fighting for our freedoms. Right, wrong, or indifferent that is what they believe. If you would read the post I was responding to and my entire response you would hopefully understand my point.

A stepfather of a serviceman was stating that he condones the use of violence against people who talk poorly of the war. His point was that his stepson is fighting for our freedom and in the meantime there are those that would speak poorly of the war he believes to be a fight for freedom.

I understand there are those that believe the war has nothing to do with protecting our freedoms and to that I would agree. However the point I was making is how an individual that believes he is fighting for our freedoms would feel when he discovers his own stepfather condones the use of violence against individuals expressing the freedoms he believes to be fighting for.

Maybe I wasn't clear or maybe you didn't read the whole post. Either way I hope I have successfully made my point.

It's interesting you say that, because last I checked, there are more "Innocent civilians" killing more innocent civilians in Iraq/Afghanistan than there are U.S. Troops. Considering that the current rules of engagement for our troops over there include that our troops can't shoot at anything until they have had three shots fired at them and they are completely sure of their target. The majority of Innocent civilian casualties are being caused by Radical Muslims that decide they want to take a decent sum of explosives, strap it to their chest and detonate in a crowded marketplace or bus. (Which aren't the U.S Troops). Sure, U.S. Airstrikes and gunfire has killed innocent civilians, unfortunately, that's what happens in wars, people die.

To be clear though, I am skeptical about the war in Iraq, I disagree with the way it's been fought. Another thing, is that one of you guys posted a link to a site bent on freeing a soldier that went AWOL. When your buddy signed up, he pretty much signed his life away. It's like picking up a rattle snake and letting him bite you then blaming it entirely on the rattlesnake when you begin dying.

Remember, that the government only has as much power as you give it. For the most part, We the People still hold the power, although, it is headed down a bad direction.

Actualy NO, you did not interpret what I said correctly. I said that theres more going on in both Afganistan and Iraq then so called murdering of civilians. There are more men and women building, teaching and giving medical treatment to the populace than are fighting. The logistics of this FACT is lost on most folks here. I have heard said here that I 'Have not put my ass on the line'. How little that butthead that said it knows. What I said also in my very first post is that with the attitudes of some here and on websites like the one mentioned about the troops, that I understand why some that have come back and actualy know the truth might pay the moron on that site a visit. When you impune the actions of so many with only the knowledge that is gleened from the MSM and a bunch of socialist teachers in our schools, its no wonder that they may get a mouth full of fist when they spew the garbage they do. I totaly understand that war is not the best of answers but if you realy believe you can act otherwise with the people we are dealing with, good luck in the next few years. Its going to be a bumpy ride.

I think people are misinterpretting what NovusOrdoMundi is trying to say. He is not saying that what you have posted Is false. He just wants proof as these are very strong allegations. I'm completely against the war in Iraq and many actions the US government has taken but I'm with Novus. You can't just post this on ATS and take the word of a shock jockey as the be all and end all.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that a privately operated website is not sufficient evidence to prove what you are claiming. Much like if you write a book report in school they won't accept private websites as legitimate references as they are opinions NOT facts. If you can find a reputable news outlet or some other form of backing (legal documents) I'll be just as outraged as you are that this is occurring.

harvib's post has been misconstrued as well. He was telling ZindoDoone that his position on the matter is contradictory. Zindo's stepson is fighting for the freedoms of these shock jocks to put this information up. For Zindo to post that he wants the thugs to scare the daylights out of Mr. Feeley for posting this anti-war information is disrespecting what his step-son and other relations are fighting for. (Sorry harvib I know you tried to explain yourself but even after reading your second explanation I saw the potential for people to still not understand what you meant, just wanted to clarify)

I see this event as completely plausible when put in perspective with everything else those sneaky buggers in the CIA/FBI/Bush Co. get up to but this event could have been caused by anyone. A local pro-war group, a racist group (they hate Middle Easterners = they support them dying), some random Joe who saw the site and hates it, some kid playing a joke and threatening his life to sketch him out, OR it could be government agents. What I, and Novus, are looking for is concrete evidence that it was who Alex Jones claims it to be. If no one can prove this then this theory has no merit.
