Everything was not created with a purpose!

I'd like to point out that, in addition to showing the Earth to be much older than 6000 years old, the geologic record shows that the different places were, at different times, covered with very different types of land than the present day. What is mountains could have been a prairie, what is now grassland might once have been underwater.

For me, this evidence kills the argument that 'every animal was created with a specific purpose for a specific place.' I think if God were going to do that, he would have kept the climate homogenous over time.

where in the bible does it say the earth is only 6000 years old? Where does it say in the bible that everyhing was created for a specific purpose?

Don't try to bring logic into this discussion! The "other side" don't use it - they can simply say "God did it" as an excuse for us thinking the earth changes. Logic be damned!
