do all artists belive in UFOs? maybe they just sung what was state on the art?

I don't really think it is a matter of believe, more a matter of fascination to the subject. Maybe in some 'cases' it might be a sort of believe aswell, if you read about UFO experiences for example on this forum website.

The I love it..!

Hi
Sorry
to say that i do not agree about you statement about Frank Sinatra's "Fly me to the moon". He recorded the song during the period of the NASA Apollo program 1961-1975. The astronauts got known for playing the song during the apollo 10 spaceflight in 1669. I'm very surprised you dont know that. It's common knowledge.
BTW there are plenty of moon threads around here. You should try and check them out :-))) Maby you will found out that the moon as well could ref. to aliens/UFO's. have a nice journey

do you mean, do all artists who sing about ufo's ect actually beleive?

i tend to think so. why would they bother writing abouting something if they didnt beleive or want to beleive at least. i'm far from knowing much about song writers minds though i'd guess that their artistic expression would be underminded if they couldent sing about their feelings and goings on in this world...and beyond.

I'm thinking you guys need to get into Pagan's Mind. Almost every song deals with the paranormal, typically revolving around UFO related phenomena.

4 YouTube links..

Through Osiris' Eyes

Supremacy, Our Kind

United Alliance

Search For Life

Lyrics available here: PM lyrics

Nils (the lead singer and lyricist) really needs to come on ATS if he isn't here already.

Aliens Exist by blink-12
The guitarist Tom Delonge is apparently a big believer in UFOs and The bassist Mark Hoppus is a fan of cryptozoology.

Roger Waters- Amused to Death (pink floyd bassist/singer/song writer)

and somewhere out there in the stars
a keen eyed look out
spied a flickering light
our last hurrah
our last hurrah
and when they found our shadows
grouped round the tv sets
they ran down every lead
they repeated every test
they checked out all the data on their list
and then the alien anthropologist
admitted they were still perplexed
but on eliminating every other reason
for our sad demise
they logged the only explanation left
this species has amused itself to death

Three current bands that I can think of off the top of my head play with a lot of SF & extraterrestrial themes - Clutch, Muse, and Coheed & Cambria.

As far as Clutch, I am pretty sure Neil Fallon wrote this song when reading ATS:
Clutch: Escape From The Prison Planet
Then against my better judgement I went walking out that door
I smiled at one person then I nodded to three more
One man asked me for a dollar, I asked him, "What's it for?"
He said, "I have seen them" I said, "OK, it's yours"
And as featured on the MTV
The local highschool lets out and the town becomes anarchy
Parties are crashed, skid marks are measured
The story's in the paper, you may read it at your leisure

Get out! Eject! Escape from the prison planet!
Get out! Eject! Escape from the prison planet!

And to the tune of a billion dollars I supplied to the D.O.E.
Some tasty little nuggets of alien technology
And as one might expect I've been harassed for years
The 'Men in Black' have been bending my ear
As a matter of fact they were just here today but I escaped them through a secret passageway
Once I lived there for one thousand days

Get out! Eject! Escape from the prison planet!
Get out! Eject! Escape from the prison planet!

I have plans for the future, guess they're futuristic plans
Move out West and buy some desert lands
Or maybe up North, just past Alaska
You know nothing of this if they ask you
Red rover, red rover, Bob Lazar's coming over
So honey, clear the airstrip and light up that stove
By Jove, I think it's started, oh yeah
Escape from the prison planet

Billion people harvest on Mars
Rebuild the remnants of the obelisk one mile from the pyramid
Escape from the planet of the apes
Go forth ad infinitum
Return the relics to the Elephant and Atlantis rises

Get out! Eject! Escape from the prison planet!
Ejector seat ignite, oh yeah

Billion people harvest on Mars
Rebuild the remnants of the obelisk one mile from the pyramid
Escape from the planet of the apes
Go forth ad infinitum
Return the relics to the Elephant and Atlantis rises

Then there is Muse, who are clearly ATS material, with songs like Butterflies and Hurricanes, Supermassive Black Hole, and of course SF epic Knights of Cydonia:

And last but not Least, Coheed and Cambria, all of whose songs and lyrics are part of an SF epic called The Amory Wars. Here's In Keeping Secrets Of Silent Earth 3:
