Has there ever been anyone that has successfully predicted something specific years before it happened? I can't think of anyone, honestly.

You need to be more specific. Someone successfully predicting an event means nothing - it could be luck. If someone can consistently predict
events, then that is useful.
So don't be satisfied with just one, or even someone who gets it right 50% of the time. If it's not 100%, it's useless.

I predict that we will have severe weather here in west TN!!!
( ...looks out of window...)
AHA! I was right
On a serious note, I find it very doubtful that anyone can depict a specific date of something of a large magnetude happening. Everyone I have ever
known to make any sort of prediction that has came true, they have been very vague in any date, or specifics for that matter, but moreover provide a
general range when something will happen.

That would be great, but for the moment I'll be satisfied with just one successful prediction of a specific event on a specific timeline here on
ATS.
So far as I can tell, that has never happened to date.

For those among you who wanna get some predictions in, there's always this:
Geneva, 7 August 2008. CERN1 has today announced that the first attempt to circulate a beam in the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) will be made on 10
September.

Just go look at what Alex Jones was saying back in the 90s. Alex Jones and David Icke both predicted 911.

User A_friend predicted 10 hours prior to Edgar Mitchell coming forward that "this reality will become a dreamland." He reported at around 8:30am
and Mitchell came forward 6:19pm. I'd say he was pretty spot-on. People seem to miss the real predictions and focus on the fake ones.

Edgar Casey. I don't think he ever got the chance to post on ATS but he correctly predicted 1000's of events large and small. The best part about
Casey's story is that he has a library full of correct predictions to back him up.

username A_friend predicted some weird crap like a week ago, at 8:40am, and at 6:19pm that day, Edgar mitchell came forward with his story. I'd say
he was pretty spot-on.

Predictions are difficult. Isn't there value to forecasting and spotting trends. A really great prediction that is accurate is almost a lifetime
event.
Actually, due to the greater reliability of forecasts they are more valuable. Some people have a lot of "hits".

The event he predicted:
The truth is on the verge of being unveiled. Where the rocks meet the sky, the light will reveal itself. The dry ocean holds more secrets then you
know. This reality will become a dreamland.
How was this accurate?

Oh sure, the world ended just last year, did you miss it? I have always wondered about the same thing though. There is always some sort of
prediction and I have yet to see any of them come true. Well any major ones anyways. LOL

That is hardly a prediction that was first made on this board. Economists have been saying that for years.
