He was a decorated officer in the Artillery, but he was also a man who had a mind. The great Joseph Stalin wasn't off limits for the outspoken young
officer, and he criticized him in a letter. The authorities were not amused, and he spent years in prison and in exile.
Alexander Solzhenitsyen died this past Sunday at the age of 89. He should mean something to people here on ATS. He was a prototype for every modern
person who rages against the machine. His books inspire us, anger us, and make us think of life from the other side.
If you would survive the future, perhaps it would serve one well to read "One Day In The Life Of Ivan Denisovich" or "For The Good Of The Cause".
Maybe his best known work, "Gulag Archipelago" would serve well those who fear the NWO.
This man who paid the price for speaking truth, and for recording the horrors of a police state, now lies in review at the Academy of Sciences in
Moscow. For many, the 20th century has now ended.
