I love them too. Very much. primarily because they seem to me to carry a torch for the particular sound that they channel; I think better than anyone. For instance, in my opinion, Catherine wheel seemed to have it, and they stood in the gap for a while. There have been others but then came Interpol, and they are my all time favorite.

I know they are from New York and others have been from Britain but at any given time of the day, somewhere in L.A. the city sounds like this...

Thanks - very cool.

Paul Banks is an internationalist - I think that is why their sound is so f..ing good.

This song (Specialist) made me leave my body when I saw them play it live on their Oz tour about 3 years ago.

What is it your birthday Xoanon. Have yourself a happy ninja turtle birthday dude, may you eat lots of pizza.

If you notice in that little vid with the new ninja turtles show intro. That Raphael has a turtle as a pet on his shoulder...How cool is that, a turtle has a turtle for a pet... Pure Awesomeness.

soundcloud.com...

the cello has a lot of emotion with it that I really like to try to work with,
never tried horns, tuba before or weird orchestra beats but it was fun.
this ended up sounding like some hans zimmer/john powell hybrid piece of music lol

Hmm, to me this is something more personal, but if you're getting ready to head out tonight, this is a tune you want to hear. New Glasgow band Chvrches, with a V, not a U.

Nice, yeah I think they'd happily admit as they have done recently that they pick up on a lot of electronica influences and they admit to enjoying a lot of current bands like MGMT and whatever, and they take it from there. They were lucky to find this vocalist quite recently just through advertising and she hits the right spots with me to be honest. Looking forward to their debut album anyway, won't be long now.

There's nothing quite like a bit of self flagellation.
