I'm still not sure what is supposed to be funny about this.

This is an actual interactive straw poll that shows McCain being up 65-35 with almost 300,000 votes.

What's the joke here?

Title MCcain up by 50

The map shows all 50 states in the Mccain column

thats all,,, it was meant to be light hearted during an angry race thats all.

I see the comparison you have made now...didn't catch the 50 50 thing before.

It is however, not a joke. That's a real poll in which McCain happens to be up in all 50 states.

That makes me feel good inside.

Considering its on AOL, the poll doesn't suprise me really.

People who don't know much about the general AOL public should be aware that its actually rather strange Obama is still getting 30% of the votes on there.

Thats like Samuel L Jackson being ahead in a race for KKK leadership.

(that comparison is a bit to close to truth really)

Riiiight.

Because anyone who doesn't support Obama HAS to be a racist don't they?

Comments like that sicken me.

Lol, your totally not getting it.

AOL's vast majority of its user base is old folks, rednecks and script kiddies.
This isn't about Obama or McCain imho, this is a site doing an "unbiased" poll with an absolutely single sided public taking it.

My point is in the validity of the poll (or utter lack of), I don't give a hoot about either of those muppet fronts.

news.aol.com...

Bush has never been as unpopular as the American public is lead to beleive. Most people in this country are living in a self-deluded world, where everyone wants to become a hippy and socialists. That's why democrats lost in 2004 and its why they are going to lose again. Its really one of the left's main downfalls.

The fact is, most of this country still supports the president. He's kept us safe since 9/11 as he promised and has done a pretty good job in the wars. It hasn't gone not perfect, but not one war we have fought has been. Most of the country doesn't by in to the whole "Bush lied" mantra either. We have memories and remember what led up the war. The other side tends to completely ignore it. Again, self delusion.

Ya well I figure Chenny had his hand all the way up the backside of 9/11!
But of course you are to partisan to inform yourself on this. The truth is the truth, war is money and your boy is all about the money! Three building turning to dust in mid air, ay sure!

And 20 guys had the military skill to defeat the most powerful/ technological advanced defense industry on earth, four separate times in one day!

And the most powerful military made that many mistakes, missteps and blunders in one day??? Ya,,, keep sleeping.

This was beyond incompetence...

And I think if Bush did not have body guards he would literally be torn limb from limb
if was in my city. Not that I wish that upon him...

I think your right,,, Obama is going to be swift boated and we will get Mccain. It works everytime ,,, poor people voting for people who could give half a flying peck about their well being or pocket book.

Now your party is only for the rich, it didn't used to be that way.

eight more years of war! Amen

Then maybe we can separate our ties for good, my folks won't take much more.

Who's living in the deluded world?

More people disapprove of bush than any president before him. Ever

From a different angle - same result

Bush, himself, admits he regrets the legacy he created for himself

The worst president in history

The American culture dislikes Bush as a whole. They dislike his policies, his mentality, his secrecy, his inaction, his overall administration.

He refuses to accept responsibility for any of the muck-ups he's responsible for, and therefore people dislike him.

Nobody is living in a "deluded" world.

You can also look at it like this:

Wouldnt the "masses" dictate which world is fantasy and which world is real? Which world is 'deluded' when it comes to things like this?

Since Bush's approval rests 100% on the American people.....

if the MAJORITY of the American people dislike Bush, then its a true statement to say "the majority of the american people dislike bush"

and its a falsity to say

Bush has never been as unpopular as the American public is lead to beleive.

as you have.

Bush ratings at all time low

and just to prove its not just all about bush.

Congress ratings at record low

People are fed up with what we've had the last 7 years.

Thats congress and bush combined.

Thats 5 years of a republican congress
thats 2 years of a democratic congress
thats 7 years of a republican president.

They're tired of it.

I'm tired of it.

We're ready for change.

I guess thats why

Obama holds onto 4 point lead

in the latest poll.

Nationally, there were 217.8 million people age 18 and over;

source

your Quote

The American culture dislikes Bush as a whole

Polls are base on a sampling of people some who may or may not be voters, who may or may not be into politics and issues, and some who let their situation define reality. In other words for election purposes they may be all right. But to say that you can reach the conclusion that the American culture dislikes Bush as a whole based on a poll is misleading. If you poll 217 million Adult Americans then we can really find out if the American culture likes or dislikes Bush.

I honestly feel that future generations will judge his legacy.

I guess is man enough to admit a mistake after all. I give you credit for finding that one.
