Perhaps these reporters have never actually opened their eyes in their own country. While China's censorship of news websites is deplorable, the U.S. is engaged in a far more restrictive, freedom-crush brand of censorship in the health industry: The censorship of truthful descriptions of health products by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Like China's government at the Olympics, the FDA has outlawed free speech by nutritional supplement companies, threatening them with fines, business interruptions and even jail time for their founders if they don't remove all text from their websites and product packaging that seeks to inform consumers about the genuine health benefits provided by their products.

Gotta also love the FDA, they can't do anything about the recent salmonella nor can they keep cloned beef out of our food supply, but they can make sure we don't know the truth about what goes into our bodies. If someone gets sick they have to go to a doctor to get pumped up with idiotic chemicals from Big Pharma. Cannot have a educated populace that can think for themselves and might even know more than the ridiculous FDA. The FDA is supposed to protect us from harmful products and practices yet what they really do is hinder us from knowing many types of health products that can make our lives better.

So much for free speech, eh?

The corporate community has infiltrated and controlled the FDA for years. The same can be said for the EPA, the CIA, NASA, the FCC, the Political Parties, and of course, the ultimate corporate creation - the DHS. They are still trying to take over the NIH and will succeed there too.

Once the moguls, or Robber Barons or Elite or whatever you want to call them control the media, anything they want is within reach. No politician will stand in the way of their benefactor's desire to control any organization which impacts profit and domination. It is the Achilles' heel of Capitalism.
