not sure where to post this so mods please move where you think best
my daughter woke up this morning and wanted to tell me her strange dream ,she was adamant that it was real. now my kid is 15 and typical teenager,
plays football, listens to music, fights with her brother etc. not interested in world happenings etc. so when she told me what she dreamt i was a
little like whoa were did that come from so here goes the quick version.
she was at her grandmothers farm with a few family members and they heard a almighty bang everyone was startled and her aunt started crying and
everyone huddled together she looked at the calender on the wall it showed the date of 13/08/08. it was dark out side and she went out and looked at
the sky she saw stars faintly in the sky next minute she said that a bright white whirlpool appeared in the sky and started to suck the stars into it,
she could see through the other side and saw people looking up at it screaming and being sucked in buildings cars, a carnival that was happening
somewhere just disintegrating. earthquakes over the world.
she then said that there was triangle ships in the sky and that we where trying to get supplies and store food and making hideouts.
she has never had a dream like this before it has shaken her, she never watches anything on tv to do with science or current events unless it is to do
with football or sport not interested in ufos just your typical materialistic non spiritual teen. but when she told me i thought of the LHC at cern
mainly because of the date.
why on earth would she dream this could it be a wake up call for her? any ideas ?

that is god damn creepy...
i really don't have an expert knowledge to offer, just my own opinion and IMO i effing hope it was not an actual premonition of things to come..
so she hadn't read or glanced at or heard anything remotely to do with the subject in her dream?? i think the sub-concious has a way of doing that
sort of thing in our dreams..
i would say that this may only be significant to your daughter in some way but then if she hasn't read or heard anything on this whole "D-Day"
subject then it's eerily akin to many peoples ideas about it.
You know maybe she was just tapping into some collective conciousness hype or something...
sorry, i don't really know what to make of it..

Well, it is pretty close to the time that the LHC will get fired up. The end world scenarios that some people have painted regarding the LHC would
kind of fit into her vision.
Interesting dream.

There are loads of things that may have influenced your child to dream this. To say that there is nothing that influenced her into dreaming of this
is kind of naive in my mind. I'm sure that every child old enough to understand the concept, knows the magnitude of a volcanic eruption, nuclear
explosion, meteor impact etc. and what it could do to the earth.
Dreams serve as mental reinforcements for our lives. You will play out scenarios in your dreams which will prepare you for possible obstacles and
fears you must face in your waking life. If she is fearful that the future is ominous; her dreams may be mentally preparing her so that she can
function on a day to day basis. "facing your fears" so to speak.

but thats just it robyn has no interest in world events news programmes are an alien concept to her as much as it pains me to acknowledge this i
would love my kid to be more open minded and read into stuff but she is not interested and i dont force it on her, only thing she watches on tv is one
tree hill and sport programmes so that is why i am amazed that she has a dream like this, i am hoping it will wake her up a little

If the dream truely implies foresight and the date in her dream is correct, we'll all experience what she experienced in her dream in about 9 days

hmmm maybe that's just it, maybe this dream has come to her for a specific reason - that reason being for her to begin taking on different
perceptions and expanding her thoughts and horizons... maybe this will change her thinking in some way..?

Interesting account....one thing I'd like to interject here..(anyone feel free to correct me if I'm mistaken)...but I was under the impression that
you cannot "read" numbers or letters in a dream..... so the date thing is kind of weird.
I remember one dream I had ...(and I dream ...very rarely) where I looked at a newspaper ....it was relevant to the dream....and it looked like a
bunch of letters and numbers just piled on each other with no rhyme or reason...quite odd.
Hopefully, for all our sakes...it is NOT a prophetic dream.

In Lucid Dreams, when you are aware that you are dreaming, reading anything can be very difficult like you said. I don't think that the same rules
apply to a normal dream where you are just being shown images though and not actually participating. If she was participating in the dream, I would
imagine that she would not get the same date if she tried to read the calendar again.

I had a dream with a somewhat similar scenario twice (similar in that it is an end of the world scenario). The first time might have been about two or
three months ago and I had it again last night. The dream wasn't quite as specific as your daughters dream but ill share anyways. The dream is in a
multi story building, not like a skyscraper but probably a 2-3 story building and I'm sitting with my friend on the top floor. Were having a casual
conversation while he drinks something and all of a sudden people start screaming and we see a large crowd of people rush up the stairs(I don't know
why). But it wasn't just people being loud and obnoxious they were obviously very afraid. Some people were crying too. You say that your daughters
dream takes place on august 12th, this is close to the time frame of when I think my dream takes place. I believe the building I'm in is the
Baltimore Convention Center because it's the only building I know I'm going to be in within the next week that fits the description. I'm going to
be there for the Otakon anime convention so that might explains why all the people running up the stairs are wearing costumes. The convention takes
place on the 8-10 so while not at the exact same time as the dream your talking about its somewhat close. I don't believe in any end of the world
conspiracies like the 2012 theory but it's still very likely that just thinking about it made an impression on my subconscious causing me to have
apocalyptic dreams. I hope that neither of these dreams mean anything but I guess we just have to wait and see.

In my dreams of 15 years ago, they all began with the hole in the sky, playing out similar to your daughter's dream. The loss of gravity and things
rising into the air was only temporary, at the beginning. Strange though, when I saw the hole forming in the first dream 15 years ago, I too was at my
grandmother's house. Why is everyone being at their grandmother's house when they dream these things?
I find it isn't difficult to read in dreams, even lucid dreams. But I have a borderline eidetic memory.

Here's my take on it.
Acts 2:17 (King James Version)
17And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall
prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
I wouldn't worry about the date so much. That could be sign not of that specific day, but that the hour is at hand. Then again, it could be that
specific date.

That is kinda weird.
What exactly does your daughter say of this dream? Ask her what she thinks it means. Obviously her sub conscious is telling her something. See if
she can out that into words.

well she was scared and is frightened that we are going to die ! but think it is to do with her going into her important year at school, exams etc,and
tried to tell her this but she does not want to talk about it anymore and refuses to be drawn on it she said it was too real and if she does not think
about it it wont happen she never had a dream like this before and it just freaked her

When I was that age, I used to have dreams of nuclear war. Sometimes I still do. It is a dream and it could mean your daughter has anxieties about the
situations beyond her control.

I would like to add that those dreams I had seemed very real. I was quite terrified of them like your daughter is. I used to have those dreams while
in the military, too. The dreams I have now deal with tornadoes approaching my house. They seem very real to me also.

thank you kidflash, i guess your first dream of doom is always a shocker especially when your young, just struck a chord with me also, people have
been helpful here and said things that have made sense to me. Funny how these dreams stay with you, i still remember my first - a giant tomato that
ate people when it heard the words tomato sauce and only the words brown sauce made it normal again! daft i know but it scared me at the time lol!
anyway hopefully on the 13th things will just be normal as usual and if not, not much point doing the lottery then!
