People are voting for OBAMA because they want him as president!
To proclaim that the supporters of the Obama are supporting him because it is hip or trendy is absolutely ridiculous!

There is no substance to this argument and it is clearly an attempt to further muddy the perceptions of Barrack Obama's campaign.

I believe that the stance Obama took on the IRAQ war was very brave and not politically advantages at the time. In 2003 the prevailing rhetoric deemed any anti
war speech as unpatriotic and even pro terrorist. This one act speaks of the character
and integrity of this man far more than flag pins, middle names, koolaide, fist bumps,
preachers, media coverage, popularity or weekly smearing points.

Many people are tired of the Rove talking points, the Chenny sociopathy, Bush' stubborn and incompetent discussions and this ridiculous WAR in IRAQ. Bad will begets
nothing but money...

The American public is tired of the negativity and the fear that is used as a tool of control, division and conquest.

It is the way of the despot to purposely create fear and division among a population. These are the implements used to mask, obscure and distract the populace from the real truth, the true agendas, lofty crimes and unsavory motivations.

Barrack Obama speaks of hope, the future, unity, a common purpose, raising up every man. These are the ideas that I associate with American greatness. Rhetoric is the
fuel of every political contest however I have heard no other enthusiastic voices?
In fact all I have heard from the other guys is more fear, paranoia and status quo.

I am tired of the downer outlooks, divisive rhetoric, imperialistic plotting and impulsive SOCIOPATHY that is disguised as a desire for personal independence. We are a nation
and like it or not our fates are intertwined...

I am more tired of the frightened apathy of the past than I am fearful of the potential
tomorrow holds. Will we sit in fear and isolation or will we go out there and thrive, create opportunity and lead by example?

I believe in looking to the future not the past! Progress is the way of man kind, it is
unstoppable I am ready for something new...

This is why I AM voting for OBAMA

why do you want him to be president?

well sometimes reality is a downer. there are good times and bad times and as long as when times are good you realize it you are not being a downer. if times are really bad sometimes you got to call it like it is. its called being realistic. this is no half empty half full debate... this country is in a full blown depression and both canidates mccain and obama support striking iran and taking away even more of americans civil liberties.

and about the personal independance stuff, if everyone in the world took care of their own crap the world would be a utopia. instead we got a bunch of socialist moochers, mooching off everyone. and barak is a fraud. his fisa vote sealed that question. i dont care how many times he says "hope" or "change" he does the same crap as anyother corrupt DC politician.

i understand people wanting to believe the best, but drinking obama kool aid and stickin your head in the sand just assures that someone is gonna come along and kick you in the butt.

I'm not voting for anyone. I'm voting against McCain, because to me
he represents the failed economic policies of the current administration. In effect stealing from the middle class so the wealthy can prosper. High gas prices don't really effect the wealthy but they have almost put me out of business into bankruptcy. You think the oil companies didn't and continue to prosper under this "oil man" presidency?

Pass the koolaid!

I've heard of early voting, usually by absentee ballot...but not 3 months early. The title of this thread is very misleading.

Democrats talk a good game, but have difficulty getting people to the polls. Might have something to do with pending warrants?
I don't know but they do have a problem getting people to show up. Republicans are not as vocal as Democrats, but they are a very loyal silent majority. A majority that will defeat Obama. Notice I didn't say elect McCain, I said defeat Obama.

I would vote for Obama over Mc Cain definately. But you better hope Obama doesn't get assassinated. If he makes it well good for him. But my question is.. Why does the media like him so much? Obama I think would be just as corrupt as all the other politicians.

Ron Paul was going for president, everybody likes Ron Paul. But the media pays no attention to him. Why is the media afraid of Ron Paul? Does it hurt to think that Ron Paul would crush the NWO?

You forgot that people from Europe can't vote in the US Presidential election. But who knows maybe the Democrat led congress will pass legislation allowing them to. Seriously, not everybody is thrilled about Obama as President. Guess the same could be said about McCain.

You hit the nail on the head with that title OP.

The reason why I am voting for Obama, is because I want him to be President.

I want him to represent me the way he is representing me now. Will he continue to? I dunno. All I know is that when you see the sun on the horizon, it is up to you to decide if it is setting or rising.

I see it as rising, and that's why I want Obama to be President.

Well man my granny just died an long drown out death, my father is dying as well, my mother had a near fatal accident in mexico and I have been unemployed and taking care of my family for three years now... ( AND NO I HAVE NOT TAKEN ANY SOCIAL AIDE ( MAYBE KOOL AIDE)

Point is I have learned that being positive is the most important aspect to any endeavor. If Mccain was a bit more enthusiastic, positive ( and socially liberal
) maybe I could consider him. Paul who I like a lot is off the table so I am giving Obama the benefit of my doubt. If he messes up I will be the first to jump off the band wagon... I am making a leap of faith...

What if you are wrong and Obama turns out to be a good pres???

I'm sorry to hear about your business. I am in the hole deep myself... Maybe there will be better days ahead?

On another note I think this whole GAS thing is compleatly manipulated
and intentional... I remeber the CA energy crisis
we knew out here, but we couldn't prove it. Even the rhetoric and talking points are similar - now as it was then.

Both messes smell of the same stench...

Good luck!

I get it... Its very obvious that this going to be a battle. IMHO I think if we
could go way above the political stuff... Well message he
is advocating is very very very rare and crazy for this world as we know it... I think the positivity stuff freaks people out more then they will admit... All I know is I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Its true I do not know what I will get with Obama.
However I have an idea on what Mccain would deliver. I will take my chances on the unknown....

Most of the speeches and writings I have seen put out by him have contained much of the same terror propaganda that has been put out by Bush.

Couple that with the issues he has laid on his site and I am missing this "oh so great positive message" that you are seeing.

Sounds to me that terror will be used to tighten the reigns on the individuals which doesn't seem like all that much of a change in direction to me.

Well IMO I think the WOT tough on terror stuff is Obama pandering to the masses who
fear this. Obama is a politician... You may be right, with the terror stuff???

Anyhow I'm taking a chance and taking him on his merits.

In a perfect world I would much rather elect "normal" men to lead "normal" (not millionaires) men, I hope for all of us you are wrong on this one.

Thanks

Its true I do not know what I will get with Obama.

I admire your honesty. Many Obama people think they do know what he will do for them. Your idea about McCain may be right. Even If he is elected McCain probably won't have that much success anyway with the Democrats controlling Congress.

No doubt. Me too!
I am intelligent enough to see through his "change change change" message to the socialist agenda he is pushing for. I am so confident on this, I have put my $$ where my mouth is w/ a couple of ppl. At the end of his potential term, I am confident (yet sad) that more of our individual freedoms will have been lost and that life will not only NOT be better for those afflicted through "society," but will actually be much worse.

If I am wrong, then I actually will find that to be a good thing. But he plainly speaks of his agenda on his website and so unfortunately, I know I am not.

Good luck!
We all will be needing it more than ever!
