Special Report
The Forbes 400
Edited by Matthew Miller 09.20.07, 6:00 PM ET
One billion dollars is no longer enough. The price of admission to this, the 25th anniversary edition of the Forbes 400, is $1.3 billion, up $300 million from last year. The collective net worth of the nation's mightiest plutocrats rose $290 billion to $1.54 trillion.

I find it funny that this type of reality is allowed in any society.

Even in a primitive tribe, the garnering and hoarding of such a large proportion
of resources would not be permitted. Hell even ANIMALS would not let a member
of a pack or heard acquire/consume in this fashion.

Anyhow I dig capitalism to large degree but wouldn't a better description of these
economic realities be Plutocracy?
