Nobama is his own worst enamy,he gives the bashers something new most everyday.
You know I have noticed that most all the pro obama people have just joined ATS,are you all sitting in one of Move On .orgs sweet shops running these threads, you say the same thing and mostly the same tired people all the time, just curious.
You might take note "dog" the stars are purty heavy for Nobama posters on your pro obama thread. If Nobama even gets the nomination he is not going to be Prez,he cant even brake the 50 mark agenst a tired old man like MaCain.Stardom never lasts, they always fall sooner or later.

"If Obama even gets the nomination" Whaaaaaaa?
Someone set your cryogenic chamber a couple of months too late.
That train has sailed!

And I'm glad that Obama haters have the ability to star each other. Every one masturbate the guy to your right dynamic you guys have going.
If only stars were votes!

Can I say masturbate? We'll shall see.

He might suck in some ways, but lesser of two evils by far.

Clinton won two terms, and before the second one was over people wanted him out. Bush won two terms and ditto. We have a Dem Governor here in Illinois, same deal. They elected him twice and now they hate his guts and are looking for way of getting him out. People are pretty fickle. It will go down one of two ways for Obama. Either people will tire of him before November, and they might with all his daily coverage, or they will elect him and not too long after, they want him removed from office for this or that. I'm not fond of either candidate but Obama really shows his inexperience sometimes. That is never good for the highest office in our land.

Obama really thinks that he will simply talk to Big Oil and convince them to give US some of THEIR profits. Not gonna happen. Could he talk you out of your money? He really believes that he can talk to our enemies and make them like us. I don't know, if talk is his talent then maybe he can... he can convince millions of gullible Americans that he can. But what if he can't? That is the risky part people talk about.

People talk about HOPE. I know some of those "hope" loving people... how are those lottery tickets you guys buy doing? That is your hope too. The lottery is not a good investment and I doubt Obama is either. I don't mind you hope people losing your shirts in Vegas, but don't bet mine. He's a good talking salesman and nothing more. No political accomplishments have been offered by him. With his qualifications as a base, any black popular movie star could run. McCain is no great choice but he is the better of the two.

i read the first few pages of this thread and just wanted to comment on something so if it was posted on the last few pages i apologize. Everyone keeps bashing mccain for his commercials but i happen to think they are working. the polls are closer then ever now with obama losing slack. and the celebrity commercial where mccain says that obama doesnt want to drill for oil must have hit a nerve with the obama camp, because now he is saying he wouldnt mind drilling for more oil and trying to put a spin on his flip flop that he just did. so if the commercial wasnt effective, why the flip flop? i believe the truth is that most americans here obamas name so often that they think he is the "cool" one and will vote for him, but i bet 90% of the people voting for him cant name a single thing he has done so far. so often things like the election are popularity contests. do you guys really think the average american gets as involved in the election as we do here on ATS? Im afraid we are a dying breed on here and soon, it wont even matter what you believe in, it wont matter what the presidential nominee stands for, it will only matter how good looking he is, or how well he speaks, or what tv shows he was on. in my opinion, these are two of the worst candidates we have ever had and if the independents had a decent candidate worth voting for, im sure we would see the highest % of votes for an independent ever.

One thing that may or not have been previously pointed out but everyone had better be mindful of.

John Mccain will secure the elderly vote..60+ voters who do not take part in preliminary polls. Old folks who are set in their beliefs and stick to their guns, the ones who show up at 9am on election day like locusts and change entire elections, millions of them.

And they are by and large NOT going to vote for Barry Obama.

Add the prior military, the christian right and a whole host of other groups that Obama will not appeal to and the numbers will be large for Mccain.

I have gone on record clearly as stating that I detest both of these candidates wholeheartedly so there is no bias in what I am saying, but just know that this election aint over by a long shot.

Also, I do not believe that the repugs will sit idely by and watch this election get taken. The dirt slingers and the real power plays have yet to be cast. My guess is there will be a few more dirty tricks to come before election day.

Either case we the people still lose...but at least they are pretending to make it interesting for us. Yay democracy.

great post. I would also like to add in this. Keep an eye on the black vote. I'm beginning to feel that Obama is taking their vote for granted. If you look around some blacks are starting to echo that Obama is not talking about the real issues black people are facing. The black media is also starting to feel that they are being snubbed by Obama. His message of blacks being more responsible didn't play too well with many either. The polls may indicate a high percentage of blacks favor but it doesn't mean nothing if they fail to show up on election day and cast a vote for him. They may seem united but there is a possibility that unity could come apart.

A boisterous town hall meeting in the Gibbs High School gym here was repeatedly interrupted by activists from the International People's Democratic Uhuru Movement, a pan-African socialist group, who accused Obama of ignoring the plight of poor blacks targeted by predatory lenders, police brutality and racist attacks. Obama tried to calm the situation, with assists from a supportive crowd that shouted the hecklers down.

Handing the activists the microphone did little to assuage them.

"All these attacks are clearly being made on the African community," one of the hecklers, St. Petersburg resident Diop Olugbulu, 31, said, when Obama recognized him and directed the microphone to him. "Why is it that that you have not spoken to the issues or spoken on behalf of the African community?"

I must say that both McCain and Obama invite bashings because they try to play to both sides of the issues.

Why would someone cast their vote based on the term "lesser of two evils" if they're evil, then don't vote for them period! I'm not saying don't vote, but don't vote for someone you don't want. But in order for this to be on topic, Obama bashers just aren't making the right arguments, there's real things they could get on Obama's back for, but they choose the most scandalous and preposterous things they can just to attract the attention. (Even if they have to make it up) Which destroys the credibility of everyone who resists Obama, even if they really do have a strong case. Another thing? Why does election appear so much like war? "Obama is attacked by Obama Bashers" "I'm the guy to vote for and i will Fight to win this election" etc. etc.? Aren't we all supposed to be on the same side?

The mentality it takes to interject the word "masturbate" into what was (I thought)a political thread shows the pathetic nature of Nobama supporters.
If Nobama doesen't destory his chances, you people surely will.
Trains dont sail, dog or do they in your vulger world?!

fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me........fool me 10 times and it's obvious i would rather be fooled than face the uncertainty that my beliefs are hopelessly ignorant and manipulated

how many fools are there that keep thinking the next president ....the next administration will bring about some positive change in the United States. They are all compromised. The best thing in my opinion would be for a 75% reduction in the number of votes cast in the 2008 election. That would sent the message that people are waking up. Otherwise this election is a side show to keep the american public thinking they really have a choice.

is that why your "rising star" had to go to the rapper ludacris and make racial songs pertaining to any white american, George Bush, Mr. McCain? and no one is crying we are talking about the rest of our lives here....obama is going to do nothing except tell you what you want to hear to shut you up and you my friend are stupid for falling for it. So drink all the kool-aid you want, but since you democrats dont cry, when obama becomes president and kicks your ass be sure not to cry because remember you and your sorry people are the ones who put an anti-american in office!

I see what you lack in a sense of humor you more than make up through sexual repression.
We even put smiley faces at the end of sentences like "this train has sailed" or "the boat has left the station" so as not to confuse you. I see we have failed.
As to the word that offends you so, well no one can help you with those demons.

The whole pretending Obama supporters like him because they think he is a cool movie star is a really interesting strategy. I've never spoke with an Obama supporter who liked him because they thought he was cool, mostly they just think he will make the world hate us less.

Some crazy kids have this stupid idea like if the world likes America we will be safer...pretty dumb huh?

I used a phrase in my first post in this thread and I see that many people don't know what it means... So, I'm placing Merriam Websters definition here in an attempt to deny ignorance.

rising star : a person or thing that is growing quickly in popularity or importance in a particular field [a rising star in politics]

Ooh! I'm buying some Obama stock! LOL Great site!

So I turn on my trusty "recent posts" page today and what do I see? The Obama haters have ratcheted up their attacks to the point of absurdity. Something like one fifth of the threads up today are against Obama. Most of them with comical implications.

Do you guys call each other every morning and gaggle about what you're wearing and try to outdo each other in lies.

It just looks sooo desperate. You are becoming caricatures of yourselves.

At least the McCain haters have heard of the law of diminishing returns.

Pace yourselves lest you peak prematurely. No one wants to see that!

So we are a week and a day away from the elections.
So I thought it would be fun to see what SDog predicted back on the first of August.

Many doubted my "guaranteed" prediction.
And now we are but a few days away from the inevitable.
If some of you had been realistic about the future, you could have saved yourself two months of false hopes.

I expect nothing less from SD when it comes to posting these threads.

Yes I find it laughable at the this new tactic where Obama bashers label themselves the victims because the bad bad media and nationalist blacks are out to get them.

Please...

On another note SD I will have to disagree with your comment over this race. Its not over, McCain can still come back, and if theres one thing I know, this will be a close race.
