Friend --

A few hours ago John McCain, the same man who just months ago promised to run a "respectful campaign," said he is "proud" of his latest attack ad.

John not running a "respectful campaign"?? That's the Pot calling the Kettle Black. Who first committed to public funding and then backed out by crying foul? I'm sure McCain is very *proud* of his ad.

That's the one attacking your enthusiasm, comparing me to Paris Hilton and Britney Spears, and making false claims about my energy plan.

The claims are 100% true. Attacking who's enthusiasm, mine?? I hardly think so. I see now you will use the keyword *attacking* throughout the rest of the message.

Now, we're facing some serious challenges in this country -- our economy is struggling, energy costs are skyrocketing, and families don't have health care.

Given the seriousness of these issues, you'd think we'd be having a serious debate. But instead, John McCain is running an expensive, negative campaign against us. Each day brings a desperate new set of attacks.

Serious debate? You mean by rehearsing the "Change, Hope and Unity" Mantra or do you mean by always playing the race card which you often do?

I see you introduced another keyword - "desparate"

And they're not just attacking me. They're attacking you.

They're mocking the desire of millions of Americans to step up and take ownership of the political process.

Oh, I see. Now John McCain is again attacking our desire. How is he attacking me? No pal, it's just you. Oh, and how can we really "own" the political process as you are suggesting. You always let us down by massive flip-flops and gaffes.

They're trying to convince you that your enthusiasm won't amount to anything -- that the people you persuade, the phone calls you make, the donations you give, the doors you knock on are all an illusion. They believe that in this election the same old smears and negative attacks will prevail again.

They're wrong.

So, you're telling me that John McCain and his campaign are trying to convince me that my *enthusiasm won't amount to anything* by attacking you? All my hard work in promoting you will be no good now if McCain wins? Are you trying to make me feel guilty here? It will be an illusion? They'll believe they won based on "old smears"? Hmmm.

And right now, we have a few hours left to prove them wrong in a very concrete way.

Make a donation of $5 or more before the July fundraising deadline at midnight tonight:

donate.barackobama.com...

Show the strength of our movement for change.

Thank you,

Barack

Donate: donate.barackobama.com...

Great - tell me we only have so much time to respond and that you need my money or we'll miss the window of oppurtunity.

Do not make this attack on you personal for me Obama. It spoke more truth than you would care to know yet will find out come November.

So much hot air.. He has nothing he can legitimately cry foul on, so he starts pouting and whines "No fair".. Is he "46" or "6" years old?

BTW, What's his beef with Paris Hilton and Brittany Spears? Why does he consider a comparison to them to be so negative? Does he believe they're vacuous, unsubstantial, elitist, talking heads or something?

I haven't heard them crying about it.. I'd like to hear him explain himself on this matter.

No doubt. I don't know how people can fall for such BS like his e-mails. He must think most people fall for crude marketing tactics. Many people do though, that's why you can have a really shytty product thrive and a good one go un-noticed. All because of marketing and exposure.

Obama's lame tactics include visualization, symbolism and anchors. The same crap commercials use.

I do have to say though that see many people aren't falling for it, and this is a good sign.

Brittany and Paris are acting more mature than he is. Imagine that.

His campaign is all about subliminals that work on the subconscious mind. He must have a few psyop people working for him. His speeches and ads are brainwashing the more pliable masses.

It takes a certain mentality for his tactics to be successful.

I'll bet secretly they're upset by the comparison.

our economy is struggling, energy costs are skyrocketing,- This is very true what he says. What he doesn't say is that he proposes we wait till he takes office to fix these problems. He is a US Senator and could have easily helped to pass meaningful legislation to fix these problems since the first day he started running for President. Why wait till he becomes President to fix something that he could easily address today? Same complaint goes to McCain.

and families don't have health care- my complaint here is that the GOVERNMENT has a broken education system, social security system, Medicare system, and people really believe that the government will be capable of running a health care program. Let's see there is about 300 million people in the US and only about 50 million has no health care. So that's about 84 % who are insured and 16% that are not insured. Now you tell me Would this benefit the majority of Americans or just a minority of Americans? Maybe what McCain and Obama are trying to attract are the 50 million voters who have no health care plan.

BRAVO!!! DING DING DING!! Get a prize for this poster!!

Obama is full of *insert appropriate word*! If he cared so much about change, he should be proving it right now by doing the job he was HIRED to do by the voters!!

I am baffled to the blatant socialist agenda he is pushing for throughout his campaign and the amount of BS the Federal Citizens (yeah, you read that right) of the United States Government are buying into.

This is all McCain does, complain about how bad the other person is and then never seems to make an ad as to why he should become president, other than his "war heroness".

If this is what McCain and his supporters prefer to do, complain about libs this libs that and magically forget their mishandling of the whitehouse, well then im sorry that doesnt really prove anything.

Do you mean complaining like Barack has recently done saying the McCain campaign is being racist, when he's the only one who's played the race card?

I have yet to hear McCain discuss his color, race, name, or anything else that could be construed as racist.. Have You?

Obama was refering to righties such as yourself spreading the ignorant garbage about how his some muslim and how he will be giving tax payers money to africa, I think his clear on that.

This is the new tactic the righties have here, use racial undertones to bring down Obama then when accused, make the "race card" claim. Its just pathetic.

Just because McCain doesnt say it doesnt exclude the racial/cultural issues coming from the GOP, for a Ron Pauler Lloyd, your very one sided.

Yeah, I like that. It reminds me of Kerry when he said he had a plan for Iraq. He wasn't going to tell anyone about it until AFTER he was elected.

First, it's an email. How can we even be sure it's legit, just like the soldier email who said Obama snubbed soldiers?

I do question though how McCain is lying about Obama's energy program. We know where Obama stands and I haven't heard McCain making any outlandish accusations that don't match up to where Obama stands on the energy crisis. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Lastly, on getting things done in Congress. I need to point out again that Bush has recently done his part by lifting the executive ban on offshore drilling. He could have said he was waiting for Congress to back him up, but he went ahead and did it. His reasons were clear - he wanted to show everyone that Congress is the only stumbling block left.

"This means that the only thing standing between the American people and these vast oil reserves is action from the U.S. Congress," Bush said.

www.cnn.com...

So far, Harry Reid, Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi and the rest of them keep finding excuses not to do their part and do away with the rest of the bans to allow this to go forward. Instead, they author bills like the completely bogus Consumer First Energy Act of 2008 which would have raised gas prices and caused a repeat of the 70's energy crisis with long lines at the pumps and filling stations running out of supply (discussed here www.abovetopsecret.com...).

I agree that Congress needs to be doing more, and both candidates ought to be criticizing all members of Congress for not putting the American people first.

a side-note: If you dont want to promote Obama, take off that avatar. It makes Obama look like an intelligent, handsome and able man.

As to the email: The same hot-air any politician (including McCain) blows off.

Please provide some examples by the McCain campaign of these "racial overtones".

We know that Obama in his latest speech, told the crowd that McCain would try to scare voters into not voting for him because "I don't look like those other guys on the dollar bills".

Is that not race baiting?

There was an even more blatent instance before that (if you can believe it) when Obama suggested that McCain didn't like him because he was Black.

I ask you, has McCain ever made race an issue, if so, how??

I did both today in honor of being allowed to join the Obama Nation. I can not tell you how relieved I feel. It's as if a tremendous weight has been lifted from my shoulder. I now can embrace socialism and communism with a clear conscience.

I no longer have to concern myself with constructing intelligent posts, I no longer have to validate my opinions, I can refuse to address any issue that does not fit in with my personal beliefs, and most of all I am free!
