Many (maybe just one other) cultures and religions have underwear with magical properties. From the chastity belts of yester year to the underoos of a couple decades ago all the way through to the thong of seaside hedonists underwear has proved to be a indespensible garment in regards to ones purity.

Still I find it odd and extremely ironic that people that are so sanitary conscious and must always wipe with their left hand would use such an unclean method of destruction in the name of their prophet.
