I am glad they took him alive, usually freaks like this kill themselves and no one ever gets to the "why" of it !

He definetely searched for his victim as he wasn't sitting by him originally, so maybe the kid he killed did something to this guys family before this and this was revenge, or maybe it was the kid of someone who hurt his kid, life is like this

i would say there was a connection to the kid.

there is a possibility that this is a "manchurian candidate" type mind-controlled assassin, and the purpose of the attack is to incite the canadian populace to support the death penalty, again, or some other collateral political goal.

I think anyone trying to classify this as "white" or "black" is going to have a difficult time. The man was a 6 foot something psychopath with a Rambo knife. He didn't show emotion, didn't act indifferent to the situation.

As for someone claiming the man was drunk just because they know of the area again I have to call in suspicion. If all drunk men go around beheading people in that area then how come nobody put a warning out? There can be no connection to drugs, or booze for a crime like this. The man with the Rambo knife was insane and there was even cannibalism involved. I could say he probably was medicated but something slipped.

I picture a handful of people on a bus taking a calm drive. Then one guy started seeing another guy get stabbed in repeat. Knowing full well the man doing the stabbing was insane; the people leaving the bus did the right thing. No need to play the hero against a psychopath. The people on the bus didn't all crawl into a corner. They got out while they still could and for this they saved themselves and others.

How many people know how to deal with a psychopathic killer who is beheading someone? There are no special ops on the buses in Canada (not that I know of), and it isn't like America where you have a gun per person mentality.

Now I do know we have exceptional people among society. Men and women willing to risk all to save all. We've seen people like this all over, but for the love of God why do people assume the "Hero" mentality has to come into play when a psychopathic, cannibalistic, Rambo knife welding person starts hacking away at someone?

I hope the victim's family doesn't get any media attention. If the victim does have family then the media should be banned from contacting them. Let the family deal with this horrible incident.

Attacks like this are going on all the time now.. and most of the time, the witneses are SO PACIFIED, they will stand idlely by as someone is slaughtered...

Its disgusting... as they stare evil and death in the face, they lock up and become terrorfied, and thier only urge is to save thier own skin(if that)...

How many times does a man have to be stabbed before other people react... After the first stab, the people know what was going on... and they CHOOSE to do nothing, and sit idlely by as this man was killed in front of them... What, did they think they were watching a Quintin Tarentino movie... its sick...

These people are complict in this murder... standing by and watching as a man is stabbed to death is a crime in my book...

ANY decent person would have done EVERYTHING in thier power to stop this man, AAND JUST MABYE, they could have saved this mans life...

Instead, they all just stood by and watched... mabye because they didnt want to get blood on thier nice clothes... mabye because they were scared, mabye because they enjoyed what they saw...

Its a shame a passenger didnt have a Gun, and could have taken care of this bastard quickly... and saved the life of this poor soul...

^Dude, I see what you're saying, but the victim was dead long before anyone had a chance to actually react to save him. Do you understand the type of knife the killer was using? One precise stab could kill anyone, let alone 50-60 stabs. He was dead long, long, long before the decapitation ever occurred.

Well? I dont think these people should be ashamed of themselves either.I`d say most people in that position would first react in a flight type mentality,very few people will react in a fight type mentality.

Some people are also all talk and no action and would have only got involved if they had a gun.

I would hate to be put in that situation myself to see how I would react at the time,but if getting women and children off and away from a manic who has stabbed repeatably to death one person is all I did,I would have a bit of guilt but not ashamed.

What a horrible thing to have happened for all involved.

Glad you live in another country then I do. We are not living in the dark ages anymore people. I find it very disturbing that civilians carry firearms around when going about their day to day business. I mean no disrespect towards you but that's just how I feel.

This story is shocking indeed. The attacker seems either completely insane or he could be a sociopath, as he displayed no emotions whatsoever. My thoughts go out to the victim, his family and the passengers on that bus.

It is a very disturbing story to say the least. The murderer acting robotic about the whole deal suggests that he must have been in a catatonic state of sorts;devoid of all feeling and emotion. It is scary that this is happening over the Atlantic.

My daughter and her husband are having my grandbaby and I find it disconcerting that this is happening, both in Canada and America (Where they live). I wonder if it is some kind of mind control experiment that the government is doing on vulnerable individuals.

I believe a "Kira" figure is behind it. The subject in question can obvious control people and cause them to do harm to others.

While I do indeed see your point I wouldn't be very happy when a lunatic on a bus starts stabbing people and then some Joe Average pulls out a gun and starts firing in the general direction of the lunatic with the knife. The problem I have is not that he can own a gun, but that it's everybody's guess if he can fire one accurately in this case. What if he hits some innocent person on said bus in the head by accident?
