Actually you don't know what the heck you're talking about.
We have very long intestines, too long for proper digestion of meat.
I was a vegitarian for 3 years, those were the best 3 years of my health ever. I was in tip top shape and able to run faster and longer than my friends, I had tons of energy too. Now since I've been eating meat I've felt all groged down and am rather weak, really fat and I keep losing jobs because of my poor health. Meat has destroyed my immune system, I'm going to try and go back to being a vegitarian agian and later a vegan. Read the Raw Foods Bible, then tell me your BS which you have no bases or support for.

Im so glad you read your booook. But it is actually YOU who does not know what you are talking about.

Humans are a naturally carnivorous animal - our consumption of protien is what allowed us t evolve large brains and move into the advanced state we are in today - this is an absolute FACT.

We are far, far better at breaking down meat and digesting it than any other cellulose (plant) based food. Animals which exist on plant matter (cows, vegetarian primates) have evolved mechanisms to deal with the cell wal of plants - bacteria in the gut (hence the distended stomaches of Orangutangs etc) multiple stomachs and "cud" chewing mechanisms such as cows. Chickens and other grain eating birds will consume stones which are stored in their Gizzards which allow for the grinding down of the cell wall and grains - we have none of these abilities as we are NOT designed to be vegetarians.

Now that is not to say that we should be eating the amount of meat we eat, or that being a vegetarian is not good for you - but to say that eating a healthy balanced diet is not as good as a vegetarian one is a complete lie -
further to say we are not meant to eat meat is the height of absolute ignorance. Utter clap trap.

Americans are well known for the exceptionally poor diet and this often includes far too much meat - which will sit in the stomach and intestines and rot - you need limited amounts of meat to supply massive amounts of energy - thats the benefit of being carnivorous - high protein, high energy, from little input - over eating meat which as we do is bad - we don't need it and convert it to fat.

You are fat, and lacking in energy because you have a poor diet and lack exercise - maintain a balanced diet and exercise is all you need.

Please resist from talking bollocks and insinuating others around you don't know what they are talking about when you are clearly not in a position to do so.

cheers,

audas

No, that is not a fact and has not and cannot be proven, show me a scientific lab result of the different intelligence between people who eat meat and people who don't.
You can get way more protien from plants (there are many beans and nuts that contain more protien than meat per serving ie. soy), what you are calling fact has been proven to be bunk.

Bunk agian, if you eat organic naturally grown raw vegitables you get the enzimes you need to properly digest food.
Quote from Dr. McDougall concerning what I said ealier about our intestines:

"The human intestine is long and coiled, much like that of apes, cows, and horses. This configuration makes digestion slow, allowing time to break down and absorb the nutrients from plant food sources. The intestine of a carnivore, like a cat, is short, straight, and tubular. This allows for very rapid digestion of flesh and excretion of the remnants quickly before they putrefy (rot). There are also marked sacculations (many sac-like enlargements that bulge out along our large intestine), like those found in all apes, which strongly supports the view that we are primarily plant-eating animals. Overall, the intestines of meat-eaters are noticeably simpler than ours."

I have three years of experience that says otherwise, what do you have?

I eat more vegies than meat, but still ever since eating meat I've been unhealthy.

I used to go to the gymn after a year of eating meat, I went for several years, I just got fatter and fatter. I had a rich meat and vegitables diet too, the whole reason i started eating meat is because my friends thought I was a weirdo because I was a vegitarian.

You need to learn to read, I was the one who was attacked first, then I replied, think twice and read things before you post, kid.
Also, read The Raw Foods Bible, you'll broaden and deepen your mind with it.
I am in a position to tell people what does and doesn't work concerning food, I've been on both sides of the spectrum, so I know how they effect the body, you obviously don't know what you're talking about, I have life experience, you have nothing so far.

I quoted Dr. McDougall from this, read it, seriously, don't just say this or that isn't true, actually read it, I know you like your meat and stuff, but we aren't built to digest meat, there are many vegitarians in waaay better health than meat eaters, I've even seen dietitions on news shows that eat meat say that a vegitarian diet is better than one that includes meat.

it is utterly obserd to blame your excess fat and poor health on eating meat.

You consume more calories than you burn off. Obviously, they can come from anything.

I am also bemused as to why with a degree in a nutrition related subject you seem to be incapable of eating right.

Finally i would like to add that the way you phrased, going to the gym for a year whilst eating meat and you still got fatter and fatter, is mildy amusing. You imply that if you go to the gym, BUT eat meat, you get fatter.

Dude, portion size ...

Either way, this is completely off topic, and I would respectfully ask you two to stop bickering over diet and health.

In regards to the OPs original post, I would have to say that this is an absolute money making scheme.

there are "5 things you can do to stay safe" yea, number 5, give us money?

dont make me laugh, this women is just fear mongering as others have said. If any did some research on H5N1, then it in itself is a weaponized virus from the word go.

Proto Fire Fox and I debated this very topic, in the Debate Forum.

Just a thought towards where this comes from since any disease can be weaponized.

well, as a physician, i must agree she is sensationalizing the fear of H5N1 or H7

whatever strain this one will be.

Vitamin C in large doses is an old anectodotal story from an early 50's ama

meeting where southern physicians stated high (IM, injected) doses of VITC

aborted polio infections. this could work, but it has never been scientifically

studied.

Getting out of the country while in pandemic lockdown? impossible.

I recommend getting the current flu vaccine now, and get hold of

both a neuramidase inhibitor (tamiflu) and amantidine and stay away

from large urban centers.

They can't get you if you are in the hills, or a remote farm.

Oddly, a lot of misgivings about the upcoming beijing olympics are being

voiced here and in mainstream media. if these olympics don't happen

due to catastrophe, a series of unfortunate events could ensue...

Well, from my experience you don't know what the heck you're talking about. Personally, I grew up on a farm and I've eaten meat almost every day of my life. I have a very strong immune system and I haven't been sick in probably 10 years. I've never lost a job and I've never had a friend who can keep up with me in any physical hard labor and at 16, I could bench 280 lbs. Yeah, I was weak, decrepit and lazy all because I ate meat. Wrong. Wrong, and, no surprise, wrong again.

Perhaps you should stay away from the cheeseburgers and mcdonalds and any meat sold at WalMart.

you have the opportunity to learn or remain profoundly ignorant - the isn't a chance on this earth you have read one thousandth of my intake - It is scientific FACT that we have evolved to eat meat - you biology and physiology is simply designed for this purpose and not as a solely vegetable diet.

You have read A book, I have read literally thousands - I have 5 degrees from Universities in Europe, Asia, and you with your one book want to re-write all of modern science ?

I am stating the facts - this is clear to all and sundry. I have no desire to belittle you here or big note myself, it is embarrassing, but education is important and you clearly are bereft in this department.

Go to the library and simply understand the physiology of animals - Carnivre, heribvore and Omnivore - which is what humans are....

Do some excersise jimmyjackblack.

Lol, for some strange reason I don't believe a word you're saying, you sound like a compulsive liar.
Once agian, did your READ (yes, just like you're doing on this forum, it's called reading) the link I posted of a DOCTOR who dicusses this?
If being a vegitarian is SOoOoOo bad, then why the heck did I live better than I am now all mighty genius with 5 degrees from Universities in Europe, Asia? And to the other brainiac, I do eat meats from Wal-Mart, I can't hardly even stand fast food, it hurts my stomach.
You are profoundly ignorant, you have not quoated any doctors, or linked any real research into this, I have, you have no basis for your beliefs other than a hatred for vegitarians because you don't understand them, plus you like your cooked flesh. Tell me, why does seeing an animal ripped apart with blood everywhere not make us hungry? In fact it usually has the opposite effect, it's because we were designed to be vegitarian. Also, Vegitarians are way healthier then omnivorus/carnivorus folks.
I'm a Christian Fundamentalist (which means I believe in the fundamentals pf Christianity) and it is one of the reasons I became a vegitarian, peerpressure and mockery was the reason why I broke that and in doing that I suffer from pretty bad health problems.
I have life experience, you may have read a few things online (cause honestly I'm calling hoax on your degrees unless you can prove it to me), so I win, you lose.
Here's some vids, watch them, seriously, you didn't even read the link to the newsletter I posted, so watch this, maybe you'll learn something:

Vegans get plenty of protien

God want you to be vegan! (I don't agree %100 with this vid, but it does make some good points)

Tell me, does this make you salivate, or does it disgust you, the way we treat these meek creatures?

Raw Veggies and Fruit cured this womans child of Asthema (I have the exact same asthma problem ever since I've been eating meat)

Raw foods Reverses Diabetes in 30 DAYS!

The Disadvantages of Eating Meat

Red Meat leads to Cancer

I have to say to add to this vid, that I have a good friend of mine (Dustin Durett) who is noly a couple of years older than me and he eats his steaks rare. Well, he's been battling colon cancer for a long time, ever since he was a teen, he's had the doctors take it out over and over agian, he also has the same asthma problems I did.

I can show you thousands of testimonies of how being a vegan and eating raw foods is what we were made to eat.
On the conspiracy side though, ever notice how much this lifestyle is advertised? How many commercials a day do you see for eating raw organic fruits and vegitables? None. Instead you see thousands of fast food and "Beef, it's what's for dinner, tonight" adds. That's because raw foods are good for you, they reverse all this crap that the meat companies put into our bodies when we eat this meat. THe drug companies then come out with all these thousands or drugs to "help combat" these ills that are comming out of these foods we eat.

If we all became vegans, I think we'd see a lot more healthier people here in the US and in other countries.
God gave us all we need when it comes to food, do we really think we can out do Him?

Eat all the dead animals you want, you take death in, you die, you take life in, you live, simple philosophy that works.
I'm not telling you that you can't eat meat, I'm just saying i know for a fact, mostly from personal experience, that being vegitarian, at least, is way better than eating meat, but eating raw, living foods is the best for us all.

I was thinking the same thing, loam.

I just did a quick Google. I don't see any talk about 'weaponized avian flu' except from this healthfreedom site and people quoting them and their emails.

I also noticed that primary among their points listed is to buy food from them, buy supplements from them and then just plain give money to them. Oh, and get a passport, and (quoted from a reposted email), join them in Panama. "Come visit us in Panama, for example, in the lovely Valley of the Moon." Uh-huh. Will there be special fruit punch waiting?

Just saying, before I get in a lifeboat, I'd want to be sure the ship's actually sinking and it's not just some drunk who woke up in the bathtub.

For the moment, my bull# detector's already blinking and bleeping.

Got a rebutal to what I just posted? Has your head exploded from all the info? Or is it that you're just too imbarrased that you've been proven drastically wrong.

Seriously guys, can any of you argue with these videos and the info I've posted? Any sane person wouldn't

If this out break of avian flu does happen, I can garrantee you all the vegans will probably be just fine if they don't take that shot.
I think someone on here mentioned that they may put it in the food, well, that's all the more reason to make sure your imune system is in check.
