Russia uses larger 650mm tubes besides their 533mm ( 21" ) tubes. The large bore torpedoes carry almost twice as much payload as their NATO counterparts.

I thought you were talking about large bore american sub torpedo tubes. Makes sense when you are talking about it from the soviet/russian subs standpoint. But I think the MK 48 is still adequate.
How'd CBG get involved in the post I sent. I was referring to our subs, nothing about our carriers.
