For all the crowing about Iran's nuclear ambitions, there is still not one shred of evidence that they are pursuing a weapons programme. All we have is innuendo, "expert opinion"and scare mongering in the press and by politicians (on behalf of Israeli lobbyists).

As a signatory to the NPT they have every right to develop their own power plants and the fuel to operate them.

Well, they don't have the raw material. They import everything.

They have been offered nuclear plants and fuel yet they continue to try and produce uranium at a fast pace. They want nukes not power. I don't understand why some of you refuse to believe this fact.

For starters, the NIE report said they were developing nuclear weapons and to believe that they stopped is just ludicrous.
Secondly, why do you think the UN is applying all these new sanctions on Iran and the EU is about to start inspecting ships bound for Iran? Because they know Iran is up to no good and only wants to build nukes.

I think its a great idea.
And the fact is there would be lots of places for them to bury the waste.
Because lets face it most of there country is made up of uninhabited desert.
It would stop them burning coal or other things which is good.
But the problem is.
Immadinnerjacket has publicly stated he will get nuclear WEAPONS.
Not power.
He couldn't give a hoot about power.
He just wants to go all allah akbar and fulfill his insane religious ideology.
Heck the international community has even offered to help them, for FREE, to build nuclear power facility's.
But they reject it because, they want to build WEAPONS.
And secondly I see no reason to need to nuke Iran.
The coalition forces have plenty of conventional weapons that would do the job of taking out the nuke facility's.

Also, the intelligence agencies from most of the large countries also agree that Iran is building nukes hence the reason for the increased UN sanctions and the new program in which they will start boarding and searching ships bound for Iran.
