Somebody in prophecy challenge threat got a hit.

So... this one (kinda, in a lot of cases) out of how many misses?
For that matter, predicting a earthquake in California. How could they know that?
So... how many people made predictions for earthquakes in Cal in the last month or more that haven't come true?

Aren't there earthquake in Cali-land just about everyday? Usually pretty small and probably not noticable, but predicting earthquakes there is like saying the sun will rise today.

Nobody would even bother to "predict" a small earthquake like this, in one of the busiest eartquake zones of the world. If the quake was significantly stronger and catastrophic, then maybe. But this quake...? Nope. I don't think so. Did anyone even get hurt in this one?

When I was 6 yrs old I made a earthquake prediction that stunned my family pretty good, they still remember. The only thing I recall is getting this overwhelming feeling of danger, I then walked out into the living room where my family was gathered and without knowing why I said "An earthquakes coming." They just looked at me for a second and gave each other puzzled looks. Then, as they began to ask me what I meant, the house began to shake. It was a pretty strong quake and as I remember there were some injuries. Nothing new for California, but it was actually the first quake I ever felt. Aside from some initial shock, my family never made too much out of it and the incident was soon forgotten. Similar things have happened since. It happened two other times after that, and I thought it was limited to earthquakes but 9/11 changed that. All that week I'd been having that anxious oppressive feeling, which I told my wife about, and when we woke up that morning and turned on the news we thought wow, that is weird. I don't claim to have prophetic powers (I am quite skeptical when it comes to this subject) but I can't deny the thing I've felt. I just feel that I have some extra-sensory thing going on. The feeling is vague (I never know any details or when it's going to happen) but powerful (the feeling grows and grows as the event gets closer). It can begin anywhere from a few months to a few weeks before the incident. It hasn't come as closely as when I was 6, ever since. I began to feel this feeling starting in June, and has steadily been increasing. Todays earthquake didn't feel like what I'm expecting. I just have a strong feeling it will occur in California by September/October. This isn't a prophecy, I don't even like the whole concept of prophets and doomsayers. The world is already full of too much B.S. I believe there is scientific explanation for this. I would never publicly tell the world about stuff like this. This forum is just the perfect way to talk about some of the things that are on my mind, anonymously.

Interesting story. While I do believe there are a gifted few who truly have prophecy, I think all of us can get an "inkling" of bad things to come from time to time, especially if they are sensitive by nature.

We'll see about yours, I suppose.
